Played 4/20 in the morning. It was cold & rain unfortunately. Course was in the best shape I've ever seen it. Greens were good, fairways were nice, rough is not that tall but very thick & sticky. Bladed way too many shots around the greens. You have to be aggressive with your chips & go after the ball. Never could figure out the greenside rough unfortunately. I shot 89. The course definately won.

RedHawk is "hit or miss" with the groundkeeping. A month or so ago, RedHawk's groundkeeping was horrible. Yesterday, March 23rd, it was the best that I can remember it ever looking. I play this course because I'm a resident in Temecula and it's local. RedHawk has some serious work to do if they are going to charge $80 for the weekend.

This course was a great deal for $ 43.00 dollars due to the internet special. Fairways were in decent shape but the greens were outstanding. We waited on every hole due to the group in front of us had 2 teenage kids that must of never played golf before. They have some great looking par 3's there and alot of elevation on some holes. I also like how they made all the tunnels appear you was driving into a mountain instead of under a street. I will definitely play this course again.

Nice greens, but fairways, rough & tee boxes are chewed up. Their signature 8th is in beautiful condition, but the rest of the course needs help. Very friendly staff. At $65, just not worth it.

Very first time to play here. Playd 3/14, Fairways and Course look nice. Many different types of hole you can play. Foursome front of us w/ 4y.o. boy were delaying the pace, the boy was running around the bunkers??!!. Marshall was not doing his job#@! Didn't like all the houses we have to go through between the holes(10 years ago there were any houses in this area). But we will return when #8 & #18 hole return to normal.

The course was not up to its usual standards. As mentioned before the fairways are still dormant with some bare spots in many areas. Lots of divots that were not filled in, used up one bottle on front 9 filled as many as I could. They did run good with an extra 4-6 yds. the greens were verdant (green and fluffy), but ran slow. Many of the bunkers were dirt, some were sand. The rough was high (about 4-6 inches), but was in the process of being cut to 1-3 inches. Looks like they may be getting ready to aerate greens, ran into a crew on # 3 looking over a punch machine, guys said they were getting familiar with new eqmt. Hole # 8 was closed, renovated. #18 was made into a par 4 and then a short par 3. The par 4 portion has a temp green w/2 putt limit.

Played yesterday and enjoyed the round. As others have posted here the fairways were a bit dormant and bare in some areas but very much playable- Greens rough and sand all in very good condition. My first time here so I really enjoyed the layout and the fact that all your clubs will be used in some fashion or another- Not always a grip it and rip it place- shot selection is key. Pretty neat hole on the back with a pot bunker or two- I would love to go back soon

The course is in "interesting" shape. Truly not bad, just interesting. The fairways are very dry, presumably from not overseeding, and they are quite bare/brown. This is NOT a bad thing. They play fine and roll out very well.

However, as a severe contrast, the rough and greens are exceptionally lush. While this is okay in the rough, the greens are too spongy. Seed heads had formed in some of the outer areas of the greens/fringe. Try putting on Poa greens that have grown this long. It's an adventure.

I played Sunday, March 4, and Pace of Play was extremely slow. There was almost a full group's wait on each tee.

On this day, the 8th hole (Island Green par 3) was closed. To make up for this, they have temporarily set up 18 as a par 4 and then a par 3 (it is normally a par 5).

As it is their "signature hole", I am sure many will be disappointed that it's out of commission. You may want to ask and see when it will be back in play. I assume by the setup that it either has been out for a while, or will be out for a bit longer (scorecards with the "new" 17th and 18th listed)

Overall, Redhawk is a challenging and scenic course. The conditions make putting very difficult and sometimes frustrating. I'd love to see the greens as dried and browned as the fairways.

The course was challenging with an interesting layout. Every hole was unique and fun to play. The green fee was very reasonable for the quality of the course. Pace of play was a bit slow at the beginning but it opened up on the back nine. taking a little over 4 hours. My main complaint was the fairway, which was dried out (similar to many courses these winter months). However, the tee and greens were in much better condition. Overall, we had a good time and will definitely come back. This course must be superb when it is in its best condition!
