Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Played 13 holes. 3:30 pm Monday. Had to jump ahead of the high school girls team. Great day for practice round. Cool views of the hills as the sun sets. The course is in good shape right now. Greens slow because of the time of day. No sand in the traps. Just hard dirt. Fairways are thin but moist. Very hilly course with lots of uphill/down shots. Try this course at least once. GPS !! But, go out with someone who has played the coures for some tips on each hole.
Played in a turny Sat 2-16 early. COLD! But the views are awsome. Like your in another state. Snow capped mountains in the background. Rocky hills around the course. Cool fresh air. Nice day for a round of golf. GPS!! YES! Course is a little wet. Greens slow in the morning and fast on the back. Fairways fast. Nice soft turf. Fairways slope fast towards the water. All greens tilted toward you. Tuff traps. Big lips. Will play here again.
Same location. New Track!! Teed off 7 am. 8-28-07. 3.5 hrs. No waiting. No wind. A bit moist. Greens run a bit slow but true. Lots of bunkers. Added 6 strokes to my round. The sand is a very fluffy type of sand. A must play at least once. Yardage markers on sprinkler heads. Front, Middle, Back. Helps a lot. Some hole are a little tricky with the yardage. Crew will pick you up and drop you off in the parking lot. Senior rate is 50!! Will be back.
Tuesday, 7-17. First time here. Towsome. 1st tee at 7 am. Done at 10:30 am. FUN!! Fairways a little thin for my game. Greens are tacky, so they don't break as much as you think. BUT, they are in really good shape. Rough is thick. Study the card for the location of the water hazards. We lost 3 cause we didn't. Not as bad as it was 7 years ago when we played the Chino Creek side. WHEW!! Now I kick myself for not playing here sooner. Thanks to the prior reviews for opening my eyes. We will be back.
Always a nice feel at this venue. Something about this trac that puts me in a good mood. Stay in the short grass! The rough is tall & THICK!!! If you are in the ruff, expect your next shot to run, run, run. Greens are hard and fast. 9 1/2 to 10. Watch the wind. It changes from tee to green. Enjoy #8 & #17. Have FUN!!! Don't worry about your score.
Private Clubs could learn from the Course Super at this track. Great Day. Worth the ride. Only complaint: Slow Greens.
Showed up 11 am, as a single, tee off 11:30. Pace a little slow but not bad. Fairways OK. Greens true, "NICE", some a bit fast. Most tilted toward your approach shot. Read the "Playing Tips" in this site, helps a lot. Watch the wind. I'll be back!
My new favorite! Will be back. If you love the game, the good out-weights the bad. Its worth the drive.
Played 2-23-07, Friday, 9:00 am, for the first time. Twosome. Awsome day to play. 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours. Broken clouds and a slight breeze. Temp about 63 at the highest. You will need to hit your par 4 & 5 drives straight. Not much wiggle room on this course. Keep your drives low so as to run on these very short cut fairways. Lots of dog legs. You need to use several clubs off the tees for the best approach shot. It's ok to settle for a par or boggie on some holes. Today most of the greens were a little hard and tacky. A few were faster then others but played well. Be aware of how the course drains when on the green. Lots of hills around the course. Wind might come up in the PM. I will be back. Nice place to stop and have a drink. One of my favorites.
By the way, We played a twosome on Saturday 12-23 noonish.
WOW, a true Golf Course. You need to drive straight, smack a great 2nd shot, and putt like a pro to score well on this tight tree lined course. But the views are worth the ride. Great pace. Was held up maybe twice and never pushed. Feels good to take your time. I'll be back!!
Played 12-26 Noonish. Lots of 5 somes on the course. Almost 5 hours to finish. Holiday I guess. Tee's Fair. Fairway are dry but your drives run, run, run. Not a lot of rough except around the greens. Greens about 90% back from aerateing and role pretty good. You will use all your clubs on this wide course. Lots of trees. Good price. Nice people.
