The maintenance here has five holes as cart path only due to overseeding - all five are visible from the main roads? Not sure if the other thirteen holes will be overseeded or not. I cannot remember... Continue »

The maintenance here has five holes as cart path only due to overseeding - all five are visible from the main roads? Not sure if the other thirteen holes will be overseeded or not. I cannot remember this course overseeding in past years. The greens are in very good shape considering they were recently plugged. The tee boxes were for the most part wet, soft, and some even muddy. I would say that give it a couple weeks and the course should be in great shape.

Played here 10/01 with a 10:30 tee time. Teed off at 11:10 due to a slow semi-pro tournament?, no beverage cart service, no marshal, all water jugs were empty except the last one on the back and the temperature was around 105. A lot of the greens have large bare areas, some greens were cut short while others were "shaggy", approach shot on #9 plugged! Fairways and tees were acceptable for this time of year but the bunkers and rough are inconsistent. Customer service was good and the views from the clubhouse are nice. Currently, this is my last choice for golf in the Temecula Valley area.

I hate to write a bad review on my first time but here goes. I called in the morning to see if it was possible to get paired with another group as I was just a single. I was told to come out and it would be no problem to join a twosome at 12:36. I drove the 40 miles to the course and checked in to find that this was not the case. They said to go to the range and the starter would find my group. I spent 45 minutes hitting a few balls and watching several groups come and go. I asked the range ball guy who I don’t think spoke English that I was to join a group but he didn’t understand. I eventually went up to the pro shop and the guys in the shop were on the computer and the starter had gone home. I watched a 5 some tee off and it looked like it was going to be a disaster. I waited for the group to hit and went to the tee myself. I played the first three holes in 45 minutes and left. The greens were pretty beat up with fresh ball marks from the group ahead and the bunker on the left of the green looked like someone used a shovel to get their ball out. This course used to be sooo nice back when it was ran by SCGA............. not anymore! I really don’t think I will ever go back again!!

Played a practice round here today, Thursday. Teed off 30 minutes late due to a Men's Club event. When I booked the tee time I was told I would be behind this event. What I wasn't told was that it was a shot-gun start. Once we did tee off (on #10) the pace of play was fine. I must say that the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.
I had not played here since the SCGA sold the course. I was disappointed. The fairways were not good. There were areas where the grass was spotty and the ball would sit down. There were bare spots and there were areas that were soaked and too soft. The greens had recently been verti-cut. These were the deepest cuts I have every seen for this process, right down to the soil in some areas. I just hope they heal by next Tuesday. The greens were very soft. How they roll under normal conditions I could not say because of the verti-cutting. The bunkers were moist and compacted, but if you really went down after the ball, the club would slide through the sand quite well and you could generate good spin. I was, unfortunately, in quite a few bunkers and only one lacked sufficient sand and that bunker and more specifically the area in which I landed was obviously a very popular spot. Some good things; the driving range is great and is grass. There is good chipping/putting green with a bunker. That green was in good condition. I only paid $35.00 with cart as a Senior so the price was fine. I just wish the course was in such condition that I would have considered the $35.00 a bargain

Great service and course in best condition I've seen in years. Greens very soft on approach but rolling extremely well. Fairways in excellent condition as well. Traps have plenty of sand but very wet on a few holes. Tee boxes used but not abused - pace around 4 hours. NICE!!!

Played a great round out here yesterday. The course was in nice shape with with the greens being an amazing shape. They were receptive but smooth and relatively fast. they were no where here the 14 on the stimp that some people claim that probably rolled to a 10. but i really enjoyed playing this course. challenging course from the tips specially when the wind decides to blow in the afternoon making some what would be short par 4's play much much longer.

Played here on 5/24 for the first time in 4 weeks,and the course is in great shape. Greens were a little too soft but smooth and fast. Could get bumpy later in the day because of the soft condition of the greens. Fairways were in better than average condition. Sand traps have sand BUT were not raked. Pace of play was excellent, less than 4 hours for our 3 some. One of my favorite courses!
