Played Saturday, 7/26 with a mid-morning tee time with temps in the 90s.
Parking lot was mostly empty when I arrived and was on the first tee 40 minutes before I was scheduled to go off after paying. Whizzed through the front 9 in a little over an hour and finally found a twosome at the turn and played the back in 1.5 hours. 2.5 hour POP on a Saturday morning... I was speechless.

As for the course, the greens were very soggy on my first nine, but they were firming up nicely by the second nine. They were rolling pretty well despite the moisture but the wet turf was holding footprints more than they normally would. Fairways and tees were in solid condition with a few thin spots here and there. Rough around the fairways was spotty, but green-side rough was in good shape and pretty thick in spots. Bunkers looked a bit crusty but I wasn't in one so I can't say how they were playing.

Overall I was pretty pleased with everything for $52. POP was outstanding but a bit worrisome at the same time. Empty on a Saturday morning has to be rare and I'm hoping that most golfers were just scared off by the heat. Personally, I think this is the best layout in the area and would play it more if it were about 30 minutes closer.

The course is drying up like the rest of California, but is still very playable and in better shape than most courses. The greens are great right now - maybe a little slower than usual for this place... Continue »

The course is drying up like the rest of California, but is still very playable and in better shape than most courses. The greens are great right now - maybe a little slower than usual for this place. Bunkers were in good shape, but were crusted over from the riding rakers, water, and heat. The fairways were burnt out in several areas from the heat and sun. Pace of play was good for a 100 degree afternoon - under four hours!

Played this morning, getting ready for the LA golf group two-day event in Temecula (Crosscreek and Redhawk). It's as easy as one , two and three. First, under $50 dollars, second, under three hours to play and finally, great greens. Maybe we should of had the event here. A Must play.

Despite the distance, this course had always been one of our fav track. customer service is always great. tee boxes were level with exception of a few holes but nothing too severely unlevel. fairways were lush and green and not just those holes with view from freeway or streets. roughs were your normal 1-3in. traps were not fluffy but very playable from it. greens were punched on April 28-29 and recovered nicely. a few bumps here and there but didn't affect the roll or the line. overall, worth the drive from san gabriel valley and will return for future play

Brother in law took me out here yesterday 4/20/14. He said he played this course about a month earlier and it was in great shape. Well the course is still in great shape. With the lack of water in socal it was nice seeing a course as green as this. Loved the layout as the course had a lot of character with no two holes being the same. The front has some nice elevation changes and the back is very flat. Fairways were great, sand was superb but the greens were very slow. If they rolled them they would be great but we got a few bumps and they did not seem to break as much due to the pace. As I said this was my first time here so it could be very different on other days. I can't give a fair assessment on pace of play as there was NO ONE out there on Easter and we were done in 3 hours.... Practice facilities were top shelf!!! I will be back soon and often as I here this place went to crap when the SCGA owned it but the new owners have brought a great course back at a great price.... I don't see a better value for prime time on the weekends if you look for deals online.

Green, green, green!! The entire course is in great shape and everything is green. The rough is extremely thick from the recent rains and the fairways have totally filled in. The only complaints would be the slow bumpy greens. I've played the course for years and have never seen the greens so slow and bumpy? Staff always friendly here - the new employees need to learn what proper golf attire means!! Played in under four hours with a late afternoon start...nice! The new ownership is moving in the right direction, but I would caution them against raising their green fees anymore. The sand traps need some more work also due to the rains.

Course in very good shape for the time of year. Everything is green from tee to green. A couple tee boxes slightly damp and squishy as always. Fairways nice and green except for a few bare spots. Would be nice if the ownership could rid the course of the mud ducks. Greens nice with very few ball marks. Pace of play is always good if you get out early.

Played here Friday at 8 AM and the course is GREEN, green fairways, green roughs and green greens! Was pleasantly surprise with the condition of the course, did I mention it was GREEN! Fairways had plenty of body with some thin spots. Greens were firm, smooth and medium to fast. Rough was OK, 2-3" high with some bare spots. Sand traps had plenty of sand. POP was just over 4 hours. Good customer service. Looking forward to another visit here soon!
