The course has improved quite a lot. The fairways used to be very thin due to lack of watering and had many brown spots. I am pleasantly surprised to see this very fun and challenging course to return what it should be. Love this course's layout and never boring 18th hole.

I've been meaning to play Trilogy (now The GC at Glen Ivy) for a while, since I heard about the elevation! The course layout is very nice and the back nine definately borders on "resort" types of layouts. The course looks like it's on it's way back for sure, the fairways still need a bunch of work. The fairways looked as if they had been really poorly taken care of and were just being nursed back slowly so dont expect perfection. The greens were not bad at all, a bit bumpy and flowery but not bad.

Other than the one short par 4 where the fairway is nearly impossible to find because of trees everywhere (looks like they put a tee-box & flag as a hole where no fairway could be created due to trees), the course was a fun to play and the 18th was a bunch of fun!

Was a little scared after reading some of the past reviews but was very happy seeing the course for the first time. I was prepared for a bare bones course with little in the way of maintenance but got the exact opposite. The course was good looking overall, but showed some signs of dead spots in the fairways. Greens were nice and well maintained (hardly any ball marks or dead spots). Tee boxes were well maintained and taken care of.
As far as the staff, very friendly and helpful. Saw the marshall 3 or 4 times on our way around the course. Also saw the cart girl 2 to three times as we played. Could use some trash cans at the tee boxes, but this was a minor inconvienence.
Overall, I would be more than happy to return here and golf again.

I have had a talk with me staff on improving the customer service especially to the golfer who had problems with the 4 some stopping at the turn and then jumping right back on the course, that will not happen again.

thank you to the golfer who reported that they have never seen HVGC so lush, I do not lie - I am my own worse critic, so i appreciate golfers who notice our hard work. I still have 9 more bunkers to refurbish. Just completed 4 tee boxes lately that will open this week.

Glen Ivy, please - the tee boxes are the best part of this neglected golf course, so I will disregard that comment. It has been almost 4 weeks since we took over. Comments from the residents and members are so positive it is very flattering. Yes the greens are getting smoothed out and they have already improved 35%, yes the course has been fertilized properly for the first time in 3 years and responding greatly. The rough is now cut and and maintained like a course should be, and the bunkers one by one are being sifted of rocks and the sand turned over properly. The rates have been lowered to match the quality of the course and perceived value. We have also allowed non residents to purchase annual memberships or 10 and 25 round passes.

Played on Saturday for the first time. Read some of the recent GK review including the message from the manager from Hidden Vally regarding this course ... somewhat disappointed. Greens were very bumpy. Some sand traps were very hard and many stones and pebbles. The course layout was not intersting, especially infamous #18 hole. New management got tough challenges ahead because there are other courses nearby are much better and fun to play. Proshop, cart girls and staff services were great. Hope they can improve more on the course condition and layout.

Played today 6/12. Got discounted tee time for $35!!! Definitely a must play at that rate!

Conditions are not that bad. Sure..the tee boxes are not mowed and there is a few dry patches around the course..but overall, the conditions have improved drastically from 3 months ago. The greens were running bumpy and slow. Fairways were in pretty decent shape. Starter was friendly; we saw the beverage girl only once. I had back to back birdies on holes # 4 and #5. Wohoo! Fairways, sand traps and rough was in improving shape. Some interesting holes with elevation changes. The only sad part to this day is when a group of 12 Korean golfers decided that they would all tee off on the 18th hole for longest drive for $1....

Will come back and put into rotation because of improving conditions and unique course layout.

First time back in a long time on 6/11/10 after reading a few positive reviews but I have to say I was disappointed in the overall conditions of the golf course. For those of you who don't know, this course is now bank owned it quite apparent that cost cutting measures have been implemented with regards to maintaining the course. Many tee boxes and the hitting area on the driving range appeared to have not been cut for days. I did not see a single maintenance worker the entire day. I almost felt like some of the tee boxes could have passed for rough. The greens rolled well but were a tad on the slow side. Many bare spots in fairways. The rack rate today was $65 but we paid $45 on golfnow. Even with the lower rate I still came away disappointed.

Played on Monday 6/7 after I heard they were trying to improve the course and must say they have made some great improvement to the fairways and greens which are now very smooth. Pro shop staff seemed very excited to the changes being made and this course will be back in my playing rotation as long as they keep making the course better. Jays team really seems determined to make this once again a championship course.

This is Jay Miller, the President of Hidden Valley Golf Club, recently I have taken over the Golf Club at Glen Ivy for the Receiver Company of the bank who holds the note. I have been there two weeks now and you can already see the difference in course condition and turf quality. Most likely I will remain in charge for 4-7 months and you can bet the house that I will have this course in awesome shape immediately.

I will report weekly and also run specials to allow everyone to come out and see for themselves. It is a great course and fun to play...... Thanks to all.......
