First time playing here on 5/9 with the SCGA special for $75. From start to finish, almost perfect. The service in the morning was like being a member at high end country club. The practice facility is tops, along with the views and conditions. We played from the black tees, which made for some tough carries over the foilage. I did find some of the holes to be "tricked out" as other reviewers have said. But with the exception of number 18, they were all enjoyable. Now, the 18th hole...Mickey Mouse wouldn't even like that hole and it's stupid green. But all said, I really enjoyed the day and the course until we got back into the clubhouse that afternoon. I asked the two guys behind the desk if there were deals for my traveling skins group of 20 players, all I got was a flip and arrogant respose from both. To quote.."I guess you should have bought 20 of those specials...we don't deal". Since every employee had gone out of their way to make our experience great until then...these two were our last impression.

Played Journey at Pechanga on 4/27 using a 2 for 1 deal we purchased through underpar.com. The club house is grandioso, the carts are the most high-end carts I've ever ridden in, and the course is one tough cookie!!

The conditions of the course were absolutely perfect. Nothing at all to complain about.

The marshall's drive around and really work hard on getting folks to pick up the pace.

The only complaint is beyond the course's control but I feel worth mentioning anyway and that's the wind. It was extremely gusty that day and someone of my caliber hasn't yet learned how to deal with that and adjust properly. When we completed our round we asked the guy up front if wind like that was normal and he said yes, the wind picks up everyday around 11am.

Bottom line, if you're not able to get out there around 7am, then be prepared for a very windy day.

Journey @ Pechanga is a beautiful, well-maintained, challenging course.

Superb conditions!! The greens and rough are 10's. It is not to often I do that. The practice facility from the putting green to the range is awesome. It has just about the nicest chipping area I have ever seen. The course is tough. For a resort course, it is tough. You have to golf your ball here. The only thing I did not like was a good shot is not rewarded on some holes due to large oak trees. Club selection on the par 3's is essential. Holes 6 and 17 have great views. Score? well, I had fun....

Fantastic course! played this course on Wednesday 4/10. The course is in tip top shape. The greens rolled fairly true but not quite as fast as I expected. Tee boxes and fairways were also in very good shape. Nearly every other hole had some phenomenal view and the wild life is everywhere. This was a memorable and very serene round. The service was great as well. From the check in, to the starter, to the cart girl, to the guy that cleaned my clubs and drove me to my car, everyone was very polite, professional, and upbeat. The carts were pretty nice as well with some of the most comfortable seats I have seen on a golf cart. The GPS on the cart however didn't seem to match up with my laser and seemed to be a good 10 to 20 yds longer than my zapping. Also, the GPS software is not as nice as I have seen on other GPS carts. I couldn't switch to "Green View" as we got closer to the holes. I don't know if its because there isn't a green view or I just couldn't find the option on the screen but none the less, it would have been nice to see distances on the gps to the hazards surrounding the greens.

All in all, spending $99 at a course of this caliber is a no brainer. A similar experience in Los Angeles or Orange county would cost at least twice this much.

I played here on MLK Day this week. POP was fine but the course plays slow due to all the driving between holes. Others mention the great service, but we didn't see it. The starter was friendly, but no beverage cart, and never saw a marshal.

The conditions were fine, but the many days of frost have left some ares less than lush but no problem hitting from. Greens were very fast, but true. My biggest complaint is the layout. It seems gimmicky. Several times you drive for a long time just to get to a place for an elevated tee. I think that happened three times, and didn't seem to flow. And the number 18 green? It has a huge swale that seems to drop 5 feet below the tiers on either side. It looked like it needed a windmill. After all that I've heard I've gotta say, I was disappointed.

Played last week and today. My home course away from home. Green fee $100.Service great as usual. Fairways excellent. Greens stimped at 11.5 today. He did it right in front of me. Pure as silk and amazing. Bunkers excellent. It has never ever been in bad shape. Thus, I will keep giving them my money since they take pride in conditioning. Play it.

Played on Sat 12-1-2012 7:30 tee time. I dont even know where to begin. Journey is the Best track i have ever seen...let alone played! The service is amazing from the moment that you arrive. As soon as you park they come get your bags and they are ready for you when after you check in. It rained the for a few days prior s the condidtions in the morning were very wet and soft. Number 6 and 17 are amazng! Greens on the front were very wet so a bit slow but when things started to dry out on the back greens were quick. There is a bit of driving between holes. hence the name journey but the scenery is amazing and we enjoyed it very much, I LOVE JOURNEY! for 120 its totally worth it. Free range balls on the great grass range before your round. They even have them staked in pyramids. PGA experience. conditions are d%mn near perfect right now.

Played here the day prior to thanksgiving for the first time.
Course is very nice. GPS worked great. Some shorter tricky par 4s. Greens were fast but very receptive to solid shots. Course plays much shorter than the yardage due to numerous downhill tee shots. Staff was friendly. I will definitely play again. I recommend showing up early and taking advantage of a great range.

Course was empty today! Usual journey... Fast greens, beautiful fairways thick rough. Good time! Starter informed us the GPS carts now give your yardage to the pin placement. Pins were in some crazy locations, but the GPS was right on! ( I also shot them with my lazer) sucks they moved the tee box on 13, but that hole is all about your approach.
