Played Sunday morning 11/11/2012. Frost delay turned our 8:40am time into a 9:30? time. My first time playing here and I have nothing but good things to say about the course. Played the Black tees. Scenic layout made for a very memorable round. Course is in great shape. Conditions were extremely nice. Greens are rolling fast and very difficult for a below average putter like me. Bunkers had plenty of medium weight sand. Saw the cart girl every few holes. Practice facility has to be one of the nicest I've experienced. Make sure you carve up some time to warm up before the round. I am looking forward to coming back and using this experience to my advantage.

Played out here for the first time Tuesday afternoon. Course is in great shape from tee to green, lush fairways, rough was lush, traps were in good shape and the greens were very nice with little ball mark damage and quick with some very hard to read breaks. The customer service was good and the little things like the lockers and the great options at the turn for food make this a step above most courses in the area. Ahi wrap at the turn-mmm good.

The Layout is definitly a challenge. We played from the Black tees, which is the Blues at most courses at 6700 yds and it presents you with some challenge off of the tee, but most fairways were wider than they looked from the tee box. The par 3s are all challenging and with the wind that blows, you better select the right club from the tee, because the greens are not all that big. Lots of elevation changes and some short, funky holes, but the variety is very fun and I will go back, especially at the price we paid. Don't know if I would pay 150 for a round out here, but half of that, yes.

Oh, the pro shop attendent who check us in could of been a little bit more kinder and courteous towards us (its customers). I say it he doesn't like working there, maybe its time to seek employment else where. Just calling it as we saw it.

Quick Note: No Longer Cart Path Only as of 10/26.

So glad I decided not to play here last week in the ugly weather. Today was picture perfect and the course lived up to my expectations. Fun and challenging layout, but just the right amount of challenge if you pick the proper tees for yourself. Beautiful views from elevated tees like 6, 17 and 18 and a good mix of hole lengths and designs. No two holes feel the same, which I appreciate. There are a few quirky holes here that some people won't like (7 comes to mind), but I like that they mixed in some unorthodox designs.

Conditions are excellent right now after they recently reopened after overseeding/fall maintenance. As you might expect coming out of overseeding, the fairways and greens are rolling a little slower than usual, but still excellent. Fairways and rough are super green and lush, a joy to hit from. Bunkers are great with a nice soft (but not overly fluffy) sand. Greens receptive on high approaches but run very fast on low running balls. Rolling at medium speeds (they told me they normally run at 12, but they weren't nearly that quick today). Very few bumps and ball marks. Everything well taken care of on the greens, which is nice to see around here. Even the practice putting/chipping areas and the driving range were super lush and manicured. Heck, the driving range here is better conditioned than 95% of SoCal's courses!!! Make sure to get here early so you have time to warm up in their awesome practice areas.

First-class service and facilities that live up to the reputation. If you have been waiting to play here and have been waiting for the right deal (like I was), NOW IS THE TIME. They have great post-overseeding rates right now and if you grab a Southland Golf magazine, there's a coupon there for $74 weekends and $64 weekdays (no time restrictions) good until 11/15. For those prices, this course is the place to play right now. You won't regret it. I wouldn't ever pay the full rack rates here, but this is a high-end resort track and is definitely worth a little extra splurge.

Only complaint was the pace at 5 hours. They could do a better job of encouraging and marshaling a little quicker pace out there, but there is a lot of driving between some of the holes and it's just naturally a layout that takes a little longer to get around. On a beautiful day like today, though, I didn't mind taking my time out there and enjoying the scenery.

Played 9/17am for our annual hospital charity tournament. Great day, except the wind was howling (apparently the norm for this area). The course was in pretty good condition. They will be closing next week for reseeding though.
Tee boxes: Farily decent. Some of the par 3s were pretty scuffed up. Overall decent.
Fairways: Nice and lush. Not a lot of brown areas.
Rough: Not terribly long or thick.
Sand: Nice and fluffy.
Greens: For the most part, very smooth and rolled well. The green speeds did vary from certain holes.

The course has a very nice layout. If you have never played it, it is a definite must.

Played her on 8/31/12 with a group of buddies. 1 no show left us with 5 players. While they would not let us play 5, they did not put another 2 with our twosome. A fair amount of unrepaired ball marks greens (I can't stand idiots who don't repair ball marks. Respect the game and the course clowns). Had 8 am start time. Fairways and greens were soft with generous fairways on the front 9. Course firmed up on the back and played completely differently from the front 9. Course knowledge is key. practice facilities are best I have seen, especially the chipping area. Get there at least 1hr before your tee time to take advantage of practice area. I can't wait to go back and play it again.

Played 8/26 Absolutely love this course. I really like how it makes you think from the T box. The two holes with the trees in the fairway are great fun holes. Lots of elevation changes and trouble that make you plan every shot. The hot summer is starting to show in the fairway's but they are still 95% green & lush. Break of the greens are hard to read depending on pin placement. Lots of subtle breaks. Really look forward to using my other "UNDERPAR" coupon.

Played on 8/24. First time for me playing Journey.
The course is in perfect conditions. Fairways are lush and greens rolled true and fast.
I've been on one bunker and sand was ok.
#6 hole with a 175 yds drop from the tee boxes has great views of the Temecula valley.
#13 has tee boxes under repair so we teed off from the ladies tees.
Pace of play was a little over 4 hrs.
Every cart has GPS that works in yds or meters (perfect for me!!!).
Great practice area with pyramids of balls available ready to be use on the driving range and on the short game area.
Cart girl came by 5 or 6 times.

I had a great deal to play Journey so it was ok for me but I think the rack rate is overrated for the course.
