Since the last time I played here in January, the course is greatly improved! Greens looked just OK, but the putts rolled very true. Speed quick, but not so fast that you were afraid the be agressive. Everything else, fairways, traps, rough, all very very nice. And best of all ...... no winds!! What a wonderful track. Everytime I play here I marvel at what a great layout this is. One of my personal "top 10 in So Cal"

First time to play Oak Quarry and it was great. I will be back to play it again. For winter conditions the course is in almost peak summer time conditions. Very challenging course layout with some fantistic views. Target golf, off the fairway and you are in trouble. Great senior rates during the week.

This is one of my favorite Southern California courses. Played here mid February on a Monday morning. It's usually windy here, but the 5 or 6 times I have played Oak Quarry, the course is always in superb condition with fast, true greens. Fairways were green and not too hard, especially compared to other courses in the area that were much drier. You would be hard pressed to find a course with a greater number of unique holes, interesting layout, and challenges. It's a long drive from Long Beach, but I will continue to make the trip on a regular basis.

Played 2/23 and got off around 1:00 pm between a couple of tournaments. Gorgeous day started out with moderately light wind, picked up through the round and tapered off on the last few holes -- so it was a real factor, but not the howling that it can be out there. Overall, the course was in great shape. The only quibbles would be that the sand on the greens tended to slow down and straighten out putts that would seem like they should have more speed and break -- a minor point really -- and the sand traps are nicely groomed but on the firm side. I was just happy to be out there and had a good round. The other three in my group had never played the course before. Two are residents of Northern California. All came away impressed and committed to returning some day to play it again.

Played Oak Quarry on 2/22. I lucked out, it did not rain the whole time I was there. The course is excellent condition right now from tee to green everything was great. Cart girl came by at least 4 times that I could remember. Course is very interesting and would like to play it again in the near future. Overall, had a great time and would definitely will return.

Played Sunday 2/18. Very pleasant staff. Great layout. Challenging with out being unfair or too tight. Make you think about your shot locations. If you miss the green slightly on your approaches you will be punished by undulations, deep faced bunkers and well place mounds around the green. Great fun and amazing scenery. Tee boxes, fairways and greens very good. Only negative is that for a course with this level of green fee - $95 - I would expect a better pace 4-4.5h - it was overcrowed/slow. Waited on everyhole - group ahead of us was fine/fast - just too many people booked - took over 5h to play. Overall great couse - would make the 2h roundtrip to play again - hopefully without the waiting.
