always a pleasure to play. layout is challenging and enjoyable, i love courses through mountains with elevation changes and forced carries. usually kept up very well, including fairways and greens. service is standard for an upper level course. 14th hole is the most breathtaking par 3 i've ever seen. i always want to take a few extra tee shots but there's always groups behind me. i think 45 would be a more reasonable fee than the 55 they usually charge on discount sites, but still very much worth it to come out once or twice a year.

Played Oak Quarry on 6/27. Great golf course. layout is demanding. Service incredible.

The only complaint I had was the greens, they were awfully slow and at times bumpy. Other than that, an absolute gem of a course and hole 14 was worth the hour trip by itself.

Have played this course several times, and on this occasion found the greens to be in absolutely terrible condition - incredibly bumpy, not cut or rolled....what's up with these guys....especially in consideration of the $75 green fee. I mean, come on....it's June guys and these greens are really terrible......don't waste your money right now!

Very bumpy with dead spots and spots where they have been mowed to closely scrapping the top of the green. Looks like they are try to mow to fast in the morning.

A few of the greens have a serious "fungus among-us" - and all of the greens were deadly slow. Too slow. Painfully slow. Over-watered in a few spots - and parts of the rough are as deep as a cabbage patch. Most fairways are in good shape - and although the greens look good - they are bumpy - and did I mention S-L-O-W ??

Still one of the premier tracks in So. Cal. The staff is top-notch and even the marshalls did their job today - stopping a bottleneck from becoming a choke-hold. Good work by these lads.

I think the Greenskeeper.org rating is currently a little inflated...more like a solid 7.0 - 7.2 is correct.

A great way to spend the day. Even with the bottleneck - still finished in 4.5 hours.

Played "The Rock" last week and loved it...Again. I may have played there as much as anyone and it NEVER gets old. So many vistas and different quality shots to hit. One of the best things they have in the clubhouse is nachos with the cheese sauce, just like the ballgame! It goes great with the Oak Quarry beer they have.

Wish they would refill the lake on 10/11. would make the course better from both a visual and practical prespective. Great course to play when the wind isn't blowing, which seems to happen too often!
