Played Sunday June 5th - $29 to walk after 11am. Course recovering from heavy rains a few months ago. It's been a few years since I played here --- some good news is that most of the cows are gone (with associated flys). Sand traps are hardpan and could use some sand!...

Played on Friday Mid day as a single and got right on, good ettiquete on course, 4 groups offered to let me play through. Good pace of play. Only issues on this course and always has been is the thin bunkers, but know big deal because their not deep. Fairways were in great condition, never a bad lie. Greens rolled good, just a tad bumpy. I would recommend this course for the average golfer, it is forgiving, wide open, and easy on the wallet. Hard to beat the price here. The driving range is wide and all grass which is a plus. Always an enjoyable experience at El Prado.

Played 9 holes on a Friday afternoon... I hadn't played this course in a very, very long time and I have not heard glowing reviews... Needless to say I was very, very happy with the course... the rough was just that rough... the rough was long adn deep but it was more "weedy" then "grassy"... the fairways were in good shape as were the greens... the sand traps were a little hard and could've used more sand... the pace of play was very good... it got a little breezy in the afternoon and with the breeze came the SMELL... the SMELL, coming of the current and long gone dairies can get to some so be prepared... If it's not breezy you most likely won't have any smell... I recommend this course, especially for $15 to play nine holes... it was worth the money and the course exceeded my expectations...

Our club has been playing El Prado once a week for a few years and even though the course is not a premier course I hav always felt that it is worth the green fees. I understand the conditions after the rain and the damage caused but this can no longer be an excuse. It almost seems as if the owner ran out of money and he is waiting for the course to die! The greens are slow and bumpy, there is no sand in the bunkers except for #8, the fairways get no roll and if you errantly hit a ball in the rough good luck finding it. Too bad. If anyone knows of a club to switch to we would be delighted.

I have never been more disappointed in a course than I was today playing Butterfield. 5.5 hour round, The greens are so slow that you have to be aggressive on downhill puts to get the ball to the hole. The fairways were too lush, no roll and in some spots you would get a flyer lie. The rough is a combo of 4 inch rough and weeds. The bunkers are the worst I have ever seen at any course in my life. It was like hitting out of desert area. They were hard, grass and weeds growing in them and a load of rocks. I am actually sad that a place would let a course get this bad, it's like they are just letting it go so they can close it. At $30 with a cart, it still isnt worth it. Only positive is the cart girl was on the ball and we saw her 6-7 times.

Played on Sunday morning with the infamous stickboy. The last time I played here was about 15 years ago. The course was nothing like I remember. Most of the tee boxes and fairways were in excellent condition, there were a few, maybe 1 or 2 that had a few bare spots but for the most part everything was pristine. The greens must have been punched recently because they were quite slow and a little bumpy. We adjusted ok to them but another member of our group was having some issues with the speed of the greens. A few of the bunkers had a few small rocks in them, you know the kind that put a mark on your wedge? We played in about 4 1/2 hours and did not have to wait to much, a little back up on a short 95 yd temp par 3 but other than that it was fine. The course in reaaly great shape, but don't stray too far off the fairway because the rough is up maybe 3" or higher. You may have a hard time finding it. Overall, the course is great, I had fun and will be coming back soon

Played around 11am finished in 4 1/4 hours. The chino creek course is closed until further notice, so it makes this course a little more crowded. Wind was up, makes it way more difficult. 11th hole is closed due to flooding also. They called it a temp hole, a 65 yard shot to a flagstick with no attempt at all to make it a green, might as well skip that hole and move onto the next. Price was right at $28. Course is playable, but barely. Sorry to see this happen. Water levels were pretty high, they said chino creek was 20' deep water, don't know when or if it will reopen. A lot of mud everywhere. Fairways were ok, greens were full of ball marks, but rolled ok speed wise. Rough was tall in areas and around the greens. Sand traps looked thin and hard, didn't get to play out of any though. Drove the ball terrible today, so I really got to test out the rough. I will have to let this course heal some more before going there again. Starter was accommodating, but didn't mention the 11th.

Played Sat at 1 pm. First of all i got a 12:50 tee time on Green River so me and my bro went to Green River only to find out that they wanna charge us $52 because the email special is $26 after 1 . So i told the lady on the starter that we will just wait for 1 pm coz its only 10 mins but she said i have no opening at that time you might tee off a little before 2. But when i look at the 1st tee box its like there's 4 groups waiting. Who would wanna pay $52 and wait for every single shot and for sure not finish. I was very dissapointed and to think we have a tournament there next weekend and im not sure anymore if i even wanna play there. So we ran over to El Prado and and got out right away with no hassles for $28. Customer service was outstanding as usual. Course is pretty decent very fast pace finished in a little over 4 hrs. The wind started howling after the first hole and made the course very long and tough. Overall another great day at El Prado
