Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii! Our club has been playing El Prado once a week for a few years and even though the course is not a premier course I hav always felt that it is worth the green fees. I understand the conditions after the rain and the damage caused but this can no longer be an excuse. It almost seems as if the owner ran out of money and he is waiting for the course to die! The greens are slow and bumpy, there is no sand in the bunkers except for #8, the fairways get no roll and if you errantly hit a ball in the rough good luck finding it. Too bad. If anyone knows of a club to switch to we would be delighted.
Played yesterday at 12:08, finished a little before 5:00. Play was slow but steady. I sometimes get selfish thoughts regarding posting great things on a course as this may influence more people to play causing slower play and all the other consequences caused by more golf play on a particular course. I just can't keep the beauty of this course to myself. I know that there are other course with maybe a little more challenge or raw beauty in Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino county but for the money, GOOSE CREEK is the best deal. The diversity of holes keeps you in the game for 18 holes. I would say the 18th hole is one of the best in Southern California. The most amazing is the maintenance year around.
A group of 24 of us played June 14. I have played the course quite a few times in the past and had found the course very playable. Yesterday was just a bit different! First of all we should have bumped the ball as the fairways were very clumpy with small grass clumps making it almost impossible for your ball to land on a flat surface. The greens were extremely grainey and very difficult to put on. I usually have under 30 putts pr round, yesterday I had 40 with 6 three putts. I would rate it at best a 4.5
I am a member of a small club of 35 members and have a standing tee time at El Prado every sunday morning. I have never posted anything about the two courses but after playing this Sunday, the courses deserve a break! They are in as good a shape as
I have ever seen them. Best courses for the money with many incentives being offered
Best part is no Dairy smell or flies this time of year. Great greens also.

I am part of a golf group that has a standing tee time at El Prado every Sunday morning. We alternate from Butterfield and Chino Creek. I have played Prado for years and am prepared to say this is the best I have ever seen the course. There is improvement being made to the course on a weekly basis and the fly situation is getting better since a lot of the dairies are being moved. I agree with the previous posts as far as bunkers with lousy sand and no cart girls. The course must be run by a woman hater because they run all the cart girls out of there, especially if they are cute! Sorry.
