Course is what it is. Rough around the edges muni golf. Speakin gof rough; it is brutal here! some places over 3 inches thick. Really gotta watch your shots if not in short grass. Many tee boxes are severely "unlevel." But, we play here alot will continue to do so.

Greens are wonderful, fairways are the best I've seen in many years, but the rough is just too brutal. I think the super has a plan to make sure virtually no women play his course. The front nine appeared to have been mowed recently, but the rough on the back was ridiculously long for a muni. We did not lose any balls this time, but it's way too hard to hit it over the creek from those US Open type lies. Too bad as the price is great and it's only 19 miles from home. The pro shop staff are also much friendlier than they used to be!

Have not played Chino Creek since 2005. Very pleased to see that it appears they are making a real effort to improve conditioning. The greens were very nice, but much slower than they appeared. The fairways were as lush as I've ever seen at El Prado. (Made the course play a lot longer!) Since I last played here I noticed they did lengthen the course by a couple hundred yards, but since it was mostly on the five 5's and par 3's, did not have too much affect on my game. This is basic golf! Nothing fancy, but then that's what you expect for $20.00. No complaints!

We played both Butterfield and Chino Creek yesterday (3/24). These courses are a little rough around the edges, but are a great value for the money. Greens were in great shape, but very slow. VERY SLOW. Fairways were lush as they aggressively overseeded this year. Bunkers are mostly in bad shape; there's even a local rule that you can remove rocks from the bunkers. The rough was brutal!!! We each lost at least two balls each in the rough. The rough is what makes these two courses tough right now. Keep it in the fairway.

They have two 18 holes. We played Chino Creeks which is little longer than other course. Course is just average... nothing to brag about it. Typical muni-course. We did not like the greens at all. I don't know for sure, whether due the recent rain or not, greens were very bumpy. They must also mowed the grass but forgot to clean them up. Mowed grass were on some greens and fairways. It's just OK course. Nothing stands out. Just Long ...

played chino creek Saturday at 11(tw). very good pace and course was in good shape. putts rolled true, not too fast not too slow, and fairways very green. impressed with everyone at the starter booth. bent over backwards to accomodate our group. excellent customer service and course. i'll give it an 8. will be back soon.
