Played 2/10 for first time. Very average muni. Greens are OK while fairways were spotty and had not been mowed for a couple of days since the rain. I would not travel out of my way to play here, given that it costs $52 with cart on weekends.

they should improve car paths,( i mean paved/cemented ) fairway and just little improvement on the greens. they should also provide /build restrooms on the fairways to more or less justify the green ... Continue »

played chino creek Saturday at 11(tw). very good pace and course was in good shape. putts rolled true, not too fast not too slow, and fairways very green. impressed with everyone at the starter booth. bent over backwards to accomodate our group. excellent customer service and course. i'll give it an 8. will be back soon.

Played today, Tuesday, Nov. 20th. They've overseeded the course and it is very lush. Best conditions I've seen here. Some may say that's not saying much, but you can't beat the conditions for $26! Greens were immaculate. Fairways were lush, but not cut very short. Lots of deep, thick rough. Definitely penalized if you found it. It's nothing fancy, but it is very decent condition right now.

Inside older attendant was pretty grumpy and insinuated my entire group hadn't paid. We told him we each of us had a receipt, but he insisted "one has not paid, but whatever". -Real professional. The younger clerk was very professional and nice, but he didn't take our green fees, just the older idiot. (Last time we were there the two clerks were great, but obviously this guy has a problem, or two.)

Course
Greens: very good, medium speed.
Fairways: overseeding filling in very nicely. (Much better than the terribly thin fairways of just a month ago.)
Rough: OK, but VERY bumpy to drive over.
Tee boxes: Very good.
Bunkers: Typical muni, good but not spectacular.
Overall: Much better than just a month ago and well worth the $.

Greens are great. Everything else is very rough around the edges. Great place to go out, walk, and hit some shots. Nothing fancy. $26 to walk. A good bargain. Walked in 3.45 hours.

A Harry Sr./David Rainville design with a Blue 70.9/121, 6540 ; White 69.6/118, 6251 (72); You know it's going to be a fun course. This is a city course and not your fufu/pretty course where everything is green and manicured. This is a golf course that plays well because of its design and low maintenance by its city crew. There aren't much heartaches when you walk in as a single... They'll try to get you on. You will find the greens rolling smooth in a medium paced speed and players play like clockwork. Fairway runs decent... For $52 to ride on a Sunday, holiday weekend, it's good-good!

Played Wed., Aug. 30th. Conditions were what we expected. Rough around the edges with lots of bare spots. The greens were actually in really good shape. Slow, but they leave them long to withstand the heat. We had a 6:40am tee time; starter let us out at 6:20am. Nice variety of holes. For the price, it's fine.
