Played on an overcast Tuesday afternoon. The round was pretty quick, 4hr 15m for our foursome. The fairways are pretty beat up right now, with lots of bare patches, and a shameful amount of unrepaired divots. The course is good for the beginning golfer. Lots of short par-4s, and the rough is very forgiving. The greens were very lush and receptive, and putted fairly slow. The beverage cart zipped by a few times during the round. Service was very nice.

Out at 7 this morning which was pretty busy this morning probably everyone trying to get 18 in before the game. A little slow to start the day but the group in front did pick it up and we finished around 4 hours 15 minutes.

Highlight is the greens. There are some bad parts on the greens but I don't think these came into play unless you hit a bad shot. I have never played here before and what sticks out is the size. Theses are some of the smallest greens I have played on.

Everything else here is just ok, tees are a little beat up and fairways are decent. Rough is so so but it's really grabby. Not sure of the type of grass but sometimes it would settle down if there was grass and there were times when it would be sitting up.

I didn't like the sand. I was in one waste bunker which seems a little thin. I was also in one green side bunker which was like hitting off clay. My playing partner liked it so I guess it is a matter of personal preference.

Like I said before this is my first time here. The course is not long at all and a little funky. Front 9 has 3 par 5s and back nine has no par 5s and one par 3. The back 9 all the par 4s start to seems very similar, pretty straight and somewhere around 300-380 yds. You really don't need a driver here. It was 37 to walk with another 15 for the cart. In hindsight I would have walked its pretty easy to walk. My understanding is the north is a little better track. For the price it's decent but a little to short for me.

Not the most challenging track but alway enjoyable and always a good deal. I go with my military friends - it's always crowded. I would recommend this course to others. Course is always in fine shape ... Continue »

Not the most challenging track but alway enjoyable and always a good deal. I go with my military friends - it's always crowded. I would recommend this course to others. Course is always in fine shape - not pristine, but decent. Staff and other players have always been very friendly.

Played 4/26, walked on (at) 1045 teed off 1115. Course was WIDE open with two-somes and three-somes with the occsional single. Didn't have to wait on anyone ahead and wasn't pushed by anyone behind. The course is in very nice condition with a couple of spots needing attention (11th and 14th greens have bare spots), but nothing that affects play seriously, with exception to the perrenial water hole at the beginning of the 10th fairway. Greens were extremely nice if a little firm as I had trouble getting the ball to stay on the green on my approach shots. For $11, walking, this is a very nice course to bring the driving range ideas into use.

Played Friday 3/6, walked on with two others, picked up fourth at 1033. Tee boxes and fairways were in excellent shape but greens had just been punched and sanded the previous week so there was no true roll and reading the greens was impossible. Everything considered, the South course is in great shape and when the greens recover, this will, once again, be an excellent course to improve your game.

This is a short course. The fairways are wide with little trouble to get into for the most part. There were a couple of longer par fours, but there are allot of 295 to 325 yd par 4's. The greens are small and very soft, but they have some subtle slopes and you need to pay attention. They roll pretty true and have a decent pace to them. It is an easy course to walk. The back is a little more challenging and interesting than the front. They day we played the course was very wet (rained 2 days earlier) and we ended up with many shots with mud on the ball. I don't know if the wet condition is chronic.

Started on the north course but after 30 minutes, still had not teed of on the second hole. The pro shop refused a refund and suggested we play the south course in stead. Pace was better, about 4 hrs, course was in average shape for this track, only saw the marshal once arounf the 15th tee. Tees of at 3:45 made it in before the sun went down. Greens still not fully recovered from punching, but well on their way.

Good course. Just aerated two weeks ago so some greens needed to settle. Overall great value for military price. Guest/visitor is $42 and worth it. Fun forgiving on most holes. wide fairways and good not great mainteance of the course. Hard to get a tee time as it's low cost brings many regular retirees and some beginners. The marshalls keep pace moving and if it slows they are quick to push up the slow pokes. Good customer service and reasonable prices on beverages and snacks. Full service restaurant available. 2 - 18 hole courses are busy weekdays and weekends. a few tough holes but mostly flat and wide
