Played here on 10/8 in the AM for the first time since the greens were aerated. Greens: they have filled in nicely BUT are very slow. Also, 6-7 of the greens have a fungus and therefore they are bumpy. Not the usual good greens. Fairways: excellent Rough: 1-3" high, some bare spots Sand traps: firm Customer service: always friendly staff in the Pro Shop POP: 4 hours IOI (item of interest): there is an American Bison wandering the golf course, apparently she is "lost" from the main herd that is on the base. We saw her feeding on the short par3 course.

Not too much to add to Itslikeimsayin's review. Nice morning pace under 4 hours. $53 with cart as a single rider. The course is in pretty good overall shape. Fairways very nice. Rough very, very deep in some spots and cut tighter in others, so you never knew what you might get. Greens mostly good, but I did notice some bad spots on a few like the 1st and 18th. Second time playing here. Solid course, nice secluded setting on the edge of the base, and like most military tracks, long without too much trouble to get into. I stuck around afterward and played the little par-3 "Leatherneck Nine" course for $5. A fivesome of duffers let me through on the first tee and I was finished walking all 9 before they were even on the 2nd green! Longest hole is 105 yards and it's straight downhill, so just a wedge and putter is all you need. Tiny, tiny greens that are kind of crusty, but the other parts of the course were pretty well maintained as a very basic pitch and putt along the hillside next to the driving range.

Played here with sixpez this morning at 7:37. Course is in good shape, highlighted by the fairways. Greens are smooth but were a bit slower than I expected this morning. Still medium fast, but not the blazing fast surfaces I encountered last time I played here. Rough was various lengths all over the course and in decent shape. Tee boxes were pretty good. I was in one bunker and it seemed fine. POP was great, 3:45 walking.

There's a sign on the pro shop door that says during this week's upcoming aeration only nine holes will be open at a time.

Played on 7/15. The course is in overall good condition. The greens rolled well at medium speed and held shots. The fairways and rough are both in nice condition. The tee boxes are a little unlevel in some areas but nothing terrible. The bunkers have plenty of sand (based on past play) but today they were very wet. A couple had standing water. The course has a nice layout with moderately hilly terrain. There is a driving range, putting green, and nice short game area. There is also a bar/grill with inside and outside seating. The staff is friendly.

The course is incredible condition! Fantastic fws and the greens are night and day from a year ago. Great, great place to play. Love it! What a place!

7/2/14 first time playing and very enjoyable pace and course conditions. Greens looks slow due to flowering but deceptively fast. Wind was not affective as course is partially exposed. You can order food from the 9th tee but didn't know that food can be picked up at the 10th tee. Wasted time going up 3 flights of stairs to the main grill. Great alternative to neighboring Arrowood GC and Oceanside GC.

Played on Friday, 4 July. Course is in GREAT shape. Fairways are lush and well groomed, greens are very fast. POP was good too at about 4+10 for the round.
