I'd like to give this course 5 star conditions over all. Through out the year, I have seen how this course was managed cause one of my freind is a member of this club. Without a doubt, the management of this course just keep improving everything to make it perfect. I have noticed all the rakes in the bunker are new and longer, and more importantly much lighter than old ones. What about sands in the bunker? Finally, sands are coverd more to the bare spots with soomthing up the hard ones. I've never seen the greens, fairways, and ruffs are good as now. I guess all of overseeding has gone too good and surely I will take the benefits of the wonderful works until next year.

played Canyon/Ridgeline saturday 11/3 and overall the course is in good shape and has recovered nicely from aeration and overseeding. what i don't get is why on this morning they did not move the pin locations from the day before? maybe even longer! on every green the areas around the pin were beat and bumpy and we played before 10. if you went to just the next quadrant, the greens were smooth and nice. did someone forget? or are they just lazy? it was extremely disappointing to be playing on greens that looked like they do at the end of the day instead of the beginning. the super should have his license revoked for that one.

Played at 1pm on Thursday and finished right behind the group in front of us, 5 hours later. Lots of time gets taken up looking for lost balls due to the narrow fairways, with many canyons and ravines alongside fairways and fronting tee boxes.

I played with a group of 15-20 handicapers who insisted on playing the blues--bad plan! This course is way too challenging to do that.

Fairways, greens, and tee boxes were in excellent shape despite some very hot weather lately. This is course is a great test of all parts of your game, and the scenery and views are as good as it gets (round here anyway).

I experienced nothing but good attitudes from everyone from the starter, cart barn guys, and especially the very cute beverage cart girls who came by three times during our round.

While a bit pricey, this course provides a challenge that is a cut above all but a few. Every shot requires making good decisions and a solid swing. I look forward to my next chance to play here...

Hogwash...with less than flattering comments coming from majority of postings, and what I have personally witnessed recently, I cannot understand these very recent ratings that suddenly took this place from a low 7 to a mid 8. Wondering if course officials have been overly influential lately! Really do need to work on the service and attitude hear.

Played a tournament on 7/14. I haven't played the Creek Side 9 in a couple of years. But, when I was told it would be $60 for a replay, I said no way! The staff here has their noses so high in the air... Continue »

Played a tournament on 7/14. I haven't played the Creek Side 9 in a couple of years. But, when I was told it would be $60 for a replay, I said no way! The staff here has their noses so high in the air, they can't even smell their own mouthwash.

While this is a fun golf course to play, it certainly is not worth the green fee. However, if you have plenty of dispensable cash, come to check out the cart girls and waitresses (potential Playboy Bunnies, for sure). Otherwise, head down to Rustic Canyon for half the price.

Played Creekside on 7/7/07 twice. Yes, twice! They were hosting a tournament and didn't allow our 2 twosomes to play two distinct nines. We weren't told this info until we got to the starter...who was very rude about it. When I booked two weeks ago I was told which nines we would play but was questioned when brought up ("Who did you speak to?"). Outrageous!

We were playing twilight on Thursday for $60 and had to haggle with the manager to play for $30. (Originally offered $45 to play the same nine two times!) Lacking in customer service to say the least. When time to get a cart the cart service said we would have to walk. A hilly course like this?
I don't think so. Too bad about the service because the course seemed immaculate at least the Creekside nine. We eventually got our carts which ran out of juice by hole 14. We signaled for a new cart which never came. All course conditions were lush and well kept except for maybe the bunkers which were not raked by other groups playing through. Greens were soft but fairly slow.

Course seemed poorly managed and do not plan to return anytime soon even though the manager did offer a discount rate for the next go around.

Good course but you can keep it!

Played today in 4-hours and 25 minutes. Country club conditions all the way around. I've been wanting to play Moorpark CC for a long time. Finally decided to bite the bullet (and the $85.00 price tag!) and play a round. I was most impressed.

Fairways and greens are very nice. I played Canyon Crest (three over par!) and then Ridgeline. I hear that Creekside is the hardest - well - they'd have to go some to be as nasty as that Ridgeline Nine! Sheesh! A 620-yard par-five ( #5 - from the blues!) One hole after another just ate my lunch! Local-knowledge and/or playing this track again would really help. Target golf...a premium on hitting it straight, to be sure! Some truly beautiful golf holes...and all the elevation changes you could ever need. Not the longest course in town - but it's all the golf course anybody needs, that's for sure!

Only one complaint (as I was only in one bunker all day!) - the bunker behind the green left of the flag on #9 Ridgeline was like hardened cement.

If the bunkers all had good sand - I'd give Moorpark an 8.5. As it is - the Greenskeeper.org rating seems fair and just about right.

played on 5/7 and was amazed... course(ridge-creek),driving range,service and the clubhouse were top notch ( check out the mens restroom ). having played all the courses in the simi valley area, it would be hard to prove that this is not the best total experience out there. the courses were tough (had 15-20 mph wind this day) but not ridiculous. cant remember the last time i used a driver on a par 3(#9 on the ridge - 202 yds w/ wind in the face). tee to green - immaculate. if i play golf out there this will be stop #1.
