Played on 4/16/08, and other than the greens being on the slow side (still recovering from recent aeration), the course is in beautiful condition. The fairways and tee boxes are superb. The greenskeepers at this course are to be commended.

They are doing some work on hole 5, and we had to play it as a Par 3. The changes on this hole appear to be smoothing out and clearing out the area around the dry creek where you'd be hitting your 2nd shot over - will make the hole much easier to play from a visual perspective. I guess it depends on your perspective if you think thats a good thing or bad.

This course has a lot of subtle challenges that many players don't recognize, and I think thats probably why a lot of people leave it feeling they should have scored better.

Played on 4/16/08. This is not my first time playing this course and just like before, I enjoyed it a whole lot. It is a challenging course mainly because of the greens. Big and wavy. Lots of action on the greens. If you do not land the ball where you need to be, you should be more than happy with a 2 putt.
Par 3 holes (except for one) are pretty difficult.
Fairways are nice and wide for the most part.
All in all a very good course. Fun to play.

Played on Fri. (4/4), the course was busy for a Friday, however we were able to finish in 5 hours (tee'd off at noon). The golf course was in relatively good condition, greens were just a little bumpy and a tad slower than normal, but considering they punched small slits in them a few weeks prior, they rolled fairly true. Tee boxes and fairways were in good condition and once again I look forward to my next outing at Rustic.

Walked and played by myself in less than 4 hours on a sunny, windy afternoon. The greens were a bit bumpy and slower than usual after the aeration 2+ weeks ago. Not bad, just not normal Rustic standards, they were still better than most other local public courses. Fairways and tees boxes are always lush here. Brett in the Pro Shop was great as usual.

Played 4/6/08. Course is in good shape. Greens were a tad slow due to the aeration about 10 days ago. I really wish they would redo #7 green back the way it was before the "Great Flood". It is almost impossible to hold a shot on that green, and when you do the putt is like a miniature golf course. Other than that ,I really love this course.

Played 3/31 and started on back nine due to frost! Definitely a track where course knowledge is mandatory. Greens are tricky, but course in general was in excellent shape. Greens just a tad bumpy from micro-punching last week. Could use more restrooms (did not see any other than the club house). Great course for less than $50.

As with most courses were they are completely punched and sandy Rustic is not like that. Rustic is one of my favorite courses to play, it is always well maintained and I have never experienced poor customer service. I guess it it bound to happened every once in awhile..
