Afternoon round at the Mission Club. Beautiful weather in the md 70's with a mild breeze. How perfect! Thanks to the person in the pro shop for getting us out about an hour prior to our scheduled tee time. Played the first three holes behind a group of seniors, who were on a 4++ hour pace. As they did not wave our twosome through, skipped #4 and then enjoyed a wonderful pace the rest of the round, finishing in about three hours.

The course is in really nice condition. Greens were exceptional. Much more or a challenge than I remembered them being. Tee boxes and rough very nice and both bunkers I found were excellent. My only complaint was just how tight/thin the fairways were, and very firm. Tough to take a divot. Overall, a fund afternoon of golf or a course I have seldom played, so it was almost like playing a new course

Played 9-21-23 early morning walking as a single, not seeing another person on the course until the 14th hole when I saw a few carts driving around the club house. Tee boxes were in good condition, cut tight and mostly level with minor divot damage on par threes. Fairways were in very good shape, great lies with decent roll out and nice cushioning to hit from. Rough was in good condition ranging between 1-3 inches and thick at times. Was in one greenside bunker that was well groomed and had a good layer of soft white sand. Greens were playing soft and rolling medium/fast and smooth, there were a few spots around some of the edges that looked like it might have a little fungus, but pins were placed away from those areas so no issue. This is such a fun track to play, I wish I got out to it more often. Customer service has always been great here. Cant wait to come back out and play.

Course in pretty good shape. Greens running about a 11... but they were a bit bumpy. I would like to play this multiple times to score well here. I would play here anytime.

Played 12-26-22 early morning walking as a single, finishing in about 2 1/2 hours. Tee boxes were mostly in good shape, they were level with some being a little thin. Fairways were in good winter condition, light green with some yellow showing with semi-tight lies but good padding. Rough was not much longer than fairways, so not much of a problem to hit from. Was in a couple of greenside bunkers that had really nice white sand to hit from. Greens were in really good shape, rolling smooth at medium pace and playing semi-soft. Overall real nice winter conditions. Haven't played here in a couple of years and I don't know why. This is such a fun course to play, not that long at 6500, but a real good variety of holes with some nice elevation through tree lined fairways. Highly recommend.

Afternoon round, which is rare for me, as I almost always play super early. Nice to have warm, dry conditions for a change. Only the second time I've played this course, so did not have great recollection of the holes. (Almost like playing it for the first time)

Greens still recovering from the recent aeration. Not too bad, but a little bumpy and too slow for my taste. Good coverage in the fairways. The bunkers had beautiful white sand, but I never had the opportunity to play from them. Tee boxes ( Tips) were good.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Nice course, but I played so poorly, it was difficult to appreciate it.

A nice and cool round away from the Bakersfield heat. First time playing and impressed with conditioning of course. Nice course and will play again!

Fairways were very nice, very lush with good coverage and great lies. Rough was in good shape, cut fairly low and pretty easy to hit from. Was in one greenside bunker that was well groomed with a nice layer of sand. Greens were really nice, rolling medium speed and a little on the soft side. Overall course is in really nice shape and well worth playing.

First time I have played this course ! When I make the 4+ hour drive to this area, I always play La Purisima. and why would I not as that is one of the very best and personal favorite golf courses. But with a great deal on Golf Moose, decided to give the Mission Club a try. The course was better than expected. The overall condition was excellent, except for the thin greenside bunkers and some areas in the rough.

We teed off about 10 minutes earlier than our scheduled 10:40 am tee time behind the men's club. To my surprise and delight, finished in 3 hours 45 minutes. Not Bad ! Perfect weather, so it was a pleasure to be outside on such a beautiful Halloween day. (Oh how I love living in Southern California)

I enjoyed the course and found it very playable, although I didn't play very well. That said, it would be hard for me to pass playing La Purisima, so this could well have been a "one and done" for Mission Club. However I do recommend playing here as the staff was great, condition very nice and if you get the Golf Moose deal, go for it !

Played 5/26.. first out, a real treat; course in very good shape, all the rains really helped. greens are tricky to read, especially anything coming in from the sides towards the hole, play more break than your eyes see, if you miss, keep everything under the hole if possible, chipping, pitching from the sides is challenging, greens are bigger than they look, and being closer to the ocean, the ball does not carry like it does inland, a club longer on some approach shots is a good choice, especially since many greens slope pretty good from front to back, with some false fronts to deal with ..open to the public, but, call ahead; lots of member groups, outings etc. just to be on the safe side...owned by the same gentlemen who bought LaPurisima, a good choice to play, if in the area, stay healthy, drive safely, CGG...
