Yes I am getting older but I can still play 36 in one day.

And again a birthday deal only having to pay for the cart.

After Rolling Hills I drove to Chico to play Bidwell Park a course I have not played in over 50 years.

This is truly a great public course that has stood the test of time. I know 9 holes opened in the 30's but no idea about the back 9. » More

Played here today on my birthday. And yes they have a birthday program. Free. I was not aware of it but when I stated it was my birthday they just handed me the key.

The previous reviews while old are correct this course is a beast. But only if you play from the wrong tee boxes. And it is not walkable.

Course in about as good shape as it may ever be. Greens were like glass and demanded your full attention. Haven't played or practiced much lately so the greens had me scared LOL.

Wasn't in any bunkers (my hiddenbrooke superpower) but they all looked a little crunchy and in need of some sand. Tee boxes could use a leveling otherwise everything else was fantastic. Cours... » More

Great round this morning 6/1/26 riding with buddies Ron and John joined by gker Richard who was a pleasure to meet and play with. Group 1b under beautiful 75 degree weather with about 1.5 clubs of wind today. Our Pop was around 5 hrs keeping up with the group ahead. They had their downhill range on mats and had a nicely sloped putting green nearby the 1st and 10th tees. My seco... » More

Greens were punched/sanded about a week ago, medium speed and bumpy compared to normal here. Probably 7-10 days from being smooth and quick again. Fairways/Tees very nice with the Bermuda out in full force with warmer temps. Greenside traps really nice, fairway traps have more rocks than I remember from years ago. Fringes mowed down, which is not a good thing on the many holes ... » More
