I have played this course numerous times and with each round, I question why they laid the course out the way they did. If you like hitting out of arroyos (wash areas) and brutally placed bunkering then this is your course. Add those features in with some extraordinary pin placements on severely sloped greens and the design makes your day nothing short of monotonous.

I want to be clear that this course is very playable, as I have logged a few rounds in the low 70’s, but the placement of certain hazards through the fairway really boggles the mind. If you chose to layup, anticipate a long approach shot, in turn, if you are an aggressive sort, expect to be either in a bunker or in a rocky arroyo that you did not see off the tee box. Clever design it is not, more like juvenile, with a steady dose of “Ha-ha we got you!”

One tip, look for physical targets beyond the course to set up your tee shots.

Played here 10/14/10. Read some good things and had a deal in the reddot book. 67.50 on a friday at 11am. Every other course in vegas is double, triple this price.

Very nice day. 90 degrees with very little wind. Fee includes cart with gps and cooler. range balls. No one on the course in front of us.

Reviews about this course were right. Pretty wide open and but alot of fairway bunkers. ball travels far in vegas, played from the tips and wasnt overwhelmed at all.

Tip from a local that we played with. The ball doesnt break as much as you think it does.

Only thing is the rough is a lil rough there you dont know how the ball is going to react when in there. the ball buries it pops up kinda weird.

What a fantastic golf course. I have lived in Vegas for 3 months now. I have played Badlands, Arroyo, Both Angel Park courses, all 3 Paiute courses, and others, and Boulder Creek has them beat hands down. Even though it is 40 minutes outside Vegas, I would urge you to make the drive.

The course was NOTHING like I expected it to be. I played a practice round there for the NV state Am qualifier. If it was not for that fact, I would probably have skipped this course. I am glad I did not. The course has a fantastic design. Fairways are magnificent. Greens are fantastic. I really have nothing bad to say about this course. They also have a large practice area, and range balls are included.

I am a local, so my rate was good. For out of state visitors, the rate is not bad at all. MUCH better than the rates for any of the courses closer to the strip. I would also suggest going to EZLinks.com, and booking on there, since you will save some money.

Once again I urge you to skip the courses closer to Vegas, and make the 40 minute drive to this one. Great track. PS: I played the Desert/Coyote nines.

Warning. DO NOT confuse this course with Boulder City golf course. Make sure you play Boulder CREEK.

Played on Monday Oct. 26. All I can say is that the course was in GREAT shape! From the tee box to the green, everything was incredible. We played Desert Hawk and Coyote run. Earlier in the day they held an NCAA womens tournye and the course was set up for the tourney. Greens were in fatastic shape and running at an 11 (according to the guys at the front desk). We walked in and was prepared to pay the $100 green fee and the starter only charged us $50, the locals rate. What a blessing. If I had to say one thing negative about the course is that the tee markers were taken off the boxes and laid next to them. Something to do with the tournament ahead of us. We played fairly fast with no waiting on any shot. Sad traps were fantastic and fluffy. NOW is the time to play this great course. If it weren't for high winds and cold on Wednesday, we would have been back.

Course is in very nice shape as usual. Great layout with many exceptional holes with decisions off the tee and fairways. Greens were in fine shape. Rough is brown and dormant this time of year but that does not bother me challenging enough without rough. Many arroyos and canyons throughout course to punish wild shots. The wind played havoc on my group so we did not finish in 4 hrs but pace of play was fine. A very nice course and always good customer service with great practice area. Green light course!!

Greens ran true with perfect speed, fairways are lush with no bad lies that I could see. Got great local rate but also they post good tourists rates on golfnow.com as well I saw some as low as 60 dollars which is excellent considering what other local courses are getting away with charging.

highly recommended also great gps which is necessary for first time players.
