Played Boulder Creek in a 6 man Super Senior tournament this past Tuesday. With a group of 140 players all over 70 it was a blast. Course in excellent condition, fairways were so nice and on most holes fairway all the way to the greens making chipping and pitching shots as good as gold. Sand traps looked very good, being a scramble with 6 players we never used them. Greens in excellent medium speed shape. Very little rough with again most of it out of play with very wide fairways. Would highly recommend this course (wind can be a problem some days) when in Las Vegas with 5 tee box's every handicap is taken care of. Grass was cut so nice around greens you could putt from 10 yards out no problem and even put back spin on longer chips.

Played the Eldorado and Coyote 9's with group of bowling Pals on our annual June pilgrimage to The SouthPoint for our end of Winter season bowling event. First was greeted by a kind and helpful with local advise Cart valet, helped on the putting on the back nine for us. Entire staff very friendly and helpful. Course was in immaculate condition from tees to green, greens were a little slow and we left many putts short but they sped up as the day wore on most likely helped by the wind that cam up about 8:45 am. Tee boxes were easy to find a spot to put your tee in for sweet swing. Fairways were like carpet with the only blemishes being divots that were not filled but that was rare. Rough was thick but was not to penal. Bunkers were all filled with nice sand that was not too fluffy so made it easy to get your ball up in the air for a soft landing - Greens were also top notch just as I said they were a little bit velcro like early on. We will be back in September with I am sure a larger group of bowler/golfers. Thanks to Sam for setting us up with our little tournament. Oh it was 112 degrees when we got off the course but it wasn't too bad.

Very scenic and challenging golf course about a 1/2hr outside of Vegas. Course was in fabulous shape and in a nice setting. Bring your sand game, tons of traps all over the course filled with white fluffy sand. I'm pretty sure it is always windy out here, but a lot of the holes are down wind. Because of the wind on the first hole, I played the white tees which topped out at 6,100.I didn't play great but definitely could have played the blues at 6,500 since the fairways gave a lot of roll and plenty of the holes played downwind. Played the Desert Hawk/Coyote Run combo as the Eldorado nine was closed for aeration. When that heals, they will probably punch another nine. That lead to my only real complaint, I think it's always busy here but with only two nines the round took well over 5 hours. No marshall and the group in front of us was at least two holes behind. On the plus side I only found that out by calling the club house. Each hole is a distinct entity, and you really only see the hole in front of you, very cool layout.

Played in a huge 6 man scramble tournament (300 players) 9/19. Greens were not healed yet so putting was off some. Fairways as always in good shape, plenty of coverage, Rough was down for the most part so finding and playing balls not to difficult. One group was 19 under from the White tees pretty fair I thought. The course is right out in the open with no houses around and features 27 holes and a great practice, all on grass, area. The course usually has a good wind blowing ac cross it which can make some holes very long, we were lucky only had the wind up on the last 4 holes.

Service: was very good. The pro shop, bar/restaurant, cart barn guy, starter, and the bev girl were all very accommodating. Checking in was easy- we were asked if we’re ready to go as there’s an open spot and off we went.
Course: Hawk/ElDorado- was in great shape. The bunkers were very easy to get out of, thank goodness for the good sand prep, the teeing grounds were lush without much divots, the roughs weren’t thick at all but lush. The fairways were nicely covered with green grass and closely mowed- it also had some run to it. The greens were smooth and fast- maybe at 11 on a stimp meter.
Got to come back here again soon- it’s so fun and good here!

Played on Friday, 11/5, with an 11:30ish tee time with Famed02. We played the DesertHawk/CoyoteRun 9s. It's been 5 years since I last played here and I have no idea why I haven't been back. I've heard the course is in great shape and I was not disappointed. Course does not reseed and it's just starting to enter the dormant stage. Tee boxes were level with only divot issues on the par 3s, and that was minimal. Fairways were firm and fast and still green and no coverage issues. Rough was barely over fairway height, and thin. Anything rolling into the rough had a strong chance of rolling into the desert. Bunkers were above average, there was some pebbles, but the sand was pretty nice and easy to hit from. Greens were excellent. Smooth, a little on the fast side, and just a few unfixed ball marks.

Just a few negatives: Pace was a bit slow at almost 5 hours; carts seem a bit beaten up, no GPS, cooler with no lids.

Overall, an awesome course. Boulder Creek felt like a "desert links," and the slope rating shows how difficult the course is, firm, fast, but anything on the edges is lost. Staff was great and matched the small town friendly Boulder City feel. Definitely need to add it to the rotation, just wish it wasn't such a drive.

Played here today with a 12:30 TeeOff.com "Deal" time to close out my Vegas golf trip. They had me scheduled for Desert Hawk/Coyote Run but had me play Coyote Run first. Then as I finished No. 9 a friendly employee approached me and offered for me to play Eldorado next so I could avoid the groups I was waiting on throughout the front nine. This worked out great because I had never played it and I was able to play it super quickly. Total POP for 18 was 3:10. Customer service top notch from the shop staff and outside attendants.

Course is in really good shape, although the greens were a little perplexing. Greens have poa annua (or similarly blossoming grass) with tons of blossoms, creating a patchwork appearance and bumpiness. (I almost wondered if they weren't mowed today with the blossoms so apparent by noontime.) They were medium speed and quite firm. Even well-struck shots ran out a bit on this very windy day. Fairways, rough, tee boxes and sand were all great. The sand did have lots of little pebbles in it, but with the new(ish) rule, that's no longer a big deal.

I'd played here one other time and loved it, and today I loved it even more. For some reason I had in my head that Eldorado was the "lesser" of the three nines, but now having played it, I think it's just as good as the other two. I love how raw and rugged this course is, with dry desert washes running through it and the natural-looking berms bordering the washes. I really consider it among the top public-access courses in the entire Las Vegas area. Highly recommended.

Played 3 rounds at Boulder Creek as I played in a tournament the weekend of 10/11. Practice round was played first and they gave us the resident rate which is always appreciated. Very nice folks in the club house. Zach, one of the nice guys there and added to what was to be a lot of fun this weekend. I play in this tournament every year mid-October and so look forward to it. Weather was perfect – high 70’s and no wind. Very dry tough – about 3% humidity making the skin (particularly the hands) dry and chapped.

The course is in great shape however. All of the over seeding has been done and the fairways are great. The Bermuda rough is going dormant and hitting from there means you get a tight lie. Bunkers are filled with heavy sand and are in good shape. No problems getting out of either fairway or green side bunkers.

Greens are still recovering from over seeding and rolled a little bumpy but still held the line. In a couple of weeks, they should be rolling pretty fast. Greens were hard though and weren’t always holding. Had to hit very clean to get it to hold but once you figure that out, you need to make the adjustment.

Love playing here. A great, desert style golf course with some great views. Generous fairways but some shots you need to think through. Highly recommend. If in the area, make it a point to stop and play.

Had time to kill so decided to play an afternoon round. Chose Boulder Creek simply because it's close to tomorrow's location. Course was decent. A bit expensive (unless you're a resident) but otherwise a decent track. Layout is wide open so the wind HOWLS through the course making club selection an added challenge. Which apparently I got right because I had more pars on the opening nine than I did all day at Bali Hai.

The course has a lot of "washout" crossings that come into play to add to the desert setting. Tee boxes were fantastic and the fairways were definitely above average. One of the last reviewers perfectly described the greens. Not the prettiest to look at, but roll smooth and fast.

Customer service was split. Kid at the counter in the pro shop can use some "people" skills. However the other kid who was the starter/cart attendant was fantastic and a joy to talk to.

Restaurant stays open til around 6:30 so I was able to grab some food afterwards.

I wouldn't recommend against playing here, but it's not a course I would put on the Vegas area bucket list.
