I grabbed a great deal on Teeoff.com for 10:06 11/12/2018. The weather was not ideal, around 50 degrees and wind howling at 30MPH plus. Because of the wind the greens were dry and firm. The course was in typical fall high season prime shape. Everything about the course was fantastic and in great shape. The staff was, as always for me, friendly and helpful. The wind was out of the north so 3 of the 4 par 5’s were downwind and easily reachable in two. We played the Desert Hawk/Coyote Run combination. Aside from the wind and cold temps, this was an exceptional day of golf. I highly recommend this course.

Participated in a 2 day tournament at Boulder Creek the weekend of 10/13. I play in this tournament every year and so look forward to it. For one, this tournament is a lot of fun and 2, BC is always a fun venue. This year was no exception. Wonderful golf course. Played a practice round on Friday and they gave us the resident rate. Nice guys! There are 3 nines here and all in in great condition. A desert course with desert bushes and hard pan lining the fairways. Go in there and you can still play your shot unless your ball rolls under a bush. The layout is fairly flat. Some doglegs and some minor elevations but for the most is straight away. All of the fairways have been over seeded so in the fairway, you will have a great lie. The rough is not too thick and is playable. Oddly enough, the rough around the greens was very thick. Dormant Bermuda but still playable. Bunkers were also in great condition. The greens were not very fast but rolled great. They looked much faster as they were cut pretty low. I have seen them much faster but I am thinking they are still in recovery from aeration. I love playing here. The weather in October is great. The views of the surrounding hills/mountains are worth a couple of pictures. Great practice area with a huge, grass driving range. They also have a nice bar/restaurant and the food is very tasty. What’s not to like? Already looking forward to next year’s tournament!

Played Coyote Run and Eldorado on 07/21 and the conditions were amazing!!! Upon arrival, the cart guys come and pick your clubs up then offered some range balls to warm up with. Club house staff is friendly and after paying your green fees, there is an option to pay an extra $10 to play Boulder City Golf Course within 2 weeks for free. That's a good deal. Breakfast burritos were $6 and pretty tasty. There are three 9 hole courses Coyote Run, El Dorado and Desert Hawk. We played Coyote Run first then El Dorado. Both courses were in amazing condition! The fairways were so perfect that it almost looked as if no one had played in a while. The rough was tall and stops the ball if you roll off the fairway. Pretty deep and easily swallows the ball if you hit it in there. The sand traps were pristine. There are plenty of dirt hazards on the side that you can hit your ball into and because of the rocks, chew up the ball and the club so be careful. The greens are well protected by sand traps so bring your sand wedge with you. On hole 14, there are bee hives in the trap so I just picked up because I didn't want to get stung. The greens were in great shape and free of divot damage. The carts were good, good GPS that gives you the distance to the green and hole. Also provides you with tips for the hole. About the only bad thing I have to say about this course is that the holes are hard to find at times because there are lots of different forks in the path and you have to guess which way to go. The pace was just under 4 hours and definitely a must play. I can't wait to go back.

I played Boulder Creek golf course on Monday April 9th. There are 3 9 hole tracks at this facility, we played Coyote run/Elderado combination We played the blue tees at just over 6500 yards with a rating and slope of 71.7/136.

The pro shop staff were very pleasant as well as the cart crew. The starter was neither pleasant or grumpy. Might have been thinking about the afternoon round he was about to embark on.

We purchased our tee time on TEEOFF.COM. It was a good discount rate. The wind was blowing and it was going to affect our scores.

The tee boxes were level but worn. You were able to get a good area to tee up in but there was a lot of divot damage. No impact to the game, just looked unappealing.

The fairways were in very good shape, lush and full. I didn't notice any bare spots or divot damage anywhere.

The greens were in great shape, a little on the slow side but very true and consistent.

The bunkers are well maintained and have plenty of sand. This is something to be desired in the Las Vegas area. Often the sun baked bunkers are terrible. Not here, plenty of soft sand.

The rough is short and lush. Not really a penalty if you miss the fairway in the rough.

I enjoyed my round here and we played in under 4 hours.

I get the opportunity to play Boulder Creek every year in mid-October and really look forward to it. Tournament weekend and played all three nines on 10/13-10/15. I really love playing here for a lot of reasons. First if not windy, the weather is beautiful this time of year. Second, it is a fun layout. A good mixture of long and short holes with split fairways and bunkers strategically placed. And third, the course is in great condition right now.

The staff in the clubhouse and in the restaurant/bar are great. On our Friday practice round, they gave us the resident, twilight rate. So nice of them to do that. The food in the restaurant is very good and the service is exceptional.

The course was recently re-opened after all of the over seeding. Fairways are super. Not a bad lie out there. The Bermuda rough is starting to brown out providing a nice color contrast with the lush, green fairways. Even though going dormant, some of the rough was thick and you could lose a ball in there. We spent a little time looking for balls in the rough. Bunkers were in good condition. Good, firm sand.

Greens were recovering nicely from the over seeding as well. About medium fast this weekend and rolled true.

Sadly, pace of play was tournament speed, about 5 hours. Our tournament is never real fast for some reason.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. If in the area, you should make it point to play.

I played here yesterday by myself after Cascata and again this morning with fellow GKer, jerry64. The course is a great muni-style course with friendly and helpful course personnel. I was offered a local rate both days, paying $30 late Wednesday afternoon and $60 this morning. Between both rounds, I played all three nines. Greens were medium slow and had quite a few ball marks and unrepaired and poorly repaired marks. Fairways and rough were lush and had few thin or bare areas. Bunkers were good with a consistent amount of coarse sand that was mostly groomed well. POP was 2:15 by myself late Wednesday and 3:15 with Jerry this morning. I would consider playing here again if I did not want to pay the freight of the other Vegas courses.

Played here yesterday, 11/15 with an 11:27 "Deal" time through TeeOff.com. Played with two local singles. We waited on almost all tee shots and approach shots all day, but pace was still pretty good at about 3:40 playing Desert Hawk > Coyote Run nines at this 27-hole facility.

Conditions were really good. (They recently hosted the qualifying round for the PGA Tour's Shriners Open.) The greens were running smooth, medium fast and held full shots. Overseeded fairways were in fantastic condition. The rough was semi-dormant/dormant bermuda with great coverage, but not too deep nor penal. Tee boxes were lush but a few were a bit shaggy. Bunkers had great sand but also some rocks.

I'd heard good things about the layout and it still exceeded my expectations. This was definitely the most interesting course I played on this trip, full of barrancas, desert washes, split fairways, waste areas, doglegs, water hazards, great bunkering...I could go on and on. It's the type of layout that gives the player lots of options and lots to think about, forcing you to strategize your journey on many holes. I loved the course and look forward to returning. It will give you all the challenge you want, too – from the tips, it exceeds 7,600 yards. I played the Gold tees at 7,072. Also, while somewhat adjacent to some neighborhoods and surrounding city, there were no homes right on the course. Highly recommended!

My review is going to be much like Rob's, the one before this- I was with them. What a nice time we had out there. It was calm for a while until we got to the first tee and it never let up just like the fun we had all day. The course was in great shape and the food and bev were also good with good service of course. Love those 9s.

Played Saturday, 4/23, at 7:30 with GKers Noeldaof, John_t, and John's dad. Boulder City is a small town just outside Las Vegas and everyone had the friendly small town vibe to them. We were met in the parking lot and the carts were marked and loaded as we checked in. Drink cart was around a couple of times each 9 and the food in the grill afterwards was pretty good. Driving range is huge with plenty of stations and is included (just remember to get the balls from the cart guys or you'll have to drive back). They also had a nice chipping/bunker area to use. My only complaint is the small putting green. With only 5 holes, it was crowded with a tournament about to go off. We played the Desert Hawk/Coyote Run pairing and the conditions were similar on both 9s. Tee boxes were relatively level and each set of tees have a large area to move around to allow divots to repair. Fairways were very nice but firm with lots of roll out, but green with no brown/thin spots. Areas where the cart path runs into the fairway were marked as GUR. Rough was non-existent. Bermuda grass coming out of winter and cut way down, also shorter than the fairway. Bunkers were decent, especially with the amount of wind they get in the area. I did find one fairway bunker with some small rocks. Greens were firm with only a few unrepaired ball marks. They looked faster than they were and ran at a medium speed. Overall, I loved the course and can't wait to play it again. We paid $58 resident rate, booked by calling the pro shop. Their website tee times were showing $59 but added $10 in taxes and fees (powered by GolfNow). Fairways are wide, with no trees in play, but a barranca that crosses many holes. Water is in play on a few holes. Carts had a nice, but testy, large screen GPS system. On course rest rooms are very limited (I think I saw 1) and there's a lack of trash cans. I saw I rated it as 6.6, probably due to the rough but it's definitely in the 7 range.
