Played on the annual Thanksgiving shotgun for the 2nd year in a row. This time the weather was brutal so that explains the cancellation of most players. We should have just cancelled our spot too and just go relax in the casinos coz it was verrryyyy cold 20 degrees i heard. The starter was very cool about it, it was just that we are stupid enough to play. we were suppose to play the Sun Mountain course but i ask the starter if we could go out on the Wolf instead and he said no prob. Anyway playing this Thanksgiving Day was a mistake! it was so cold that you could not feel your hands anymore, I was so close to quitting by the 3rd hole but we were very hopeful that if the sun comes out it would be ok. WRONG!!!! So we hang in there , the course was very nice a lot of challenging holes specially when the wind is howling. Loved the island par 3 green the over all course condition was very good . we will definitely come play again next year if the weather is better. I would never ever try and play on that kind of weather again :(

July 30, had a great time, greeted by helpful and friendly staff, walked on (at) 10am, I enjoyed the condition of the course, they were ready for a tourney the following week.
My mistake was playing from the back tees for my handicap, The groups in front had no problem letting me play through, it is a very challenging course, but I will be back to try again. I was so pleased with the course that I played Sun Mountain the following day.

We played last week and found the course in wonderful condition. This was our first time playing the Wolf Course. Grip and Rip. Each hole is a different experience but one thing is for certain, once on the greens we had our hands full. They were all firm, fast and tough to read. My favorite hole is number 6. Visually intimidating risk reward par 5. I did not care for the island hole. It seemed out of place with the natural terrain and feel of the layout. We had a bite to eat in the clubhouse after our round overlooking the 9th hole of the Snow Mountain course. Very enjoyable day.

Super fun track my first time playing. Superb design. Greens were very firm and it took me time to adjust but they were smooth and fast. Fairways in great shape. I found the sand traps to be thin hard packed so stay out of them. The clubhouse is huge and everyone was friendly. Scenery is beautiful desert landscape. I was pleased with my experience here and will return.

A decent course. There is a replica hole of TPC Sawgrass's 17th. Can't decide if that was cool or corny. Fairways were good. Surprised (in a hmmm way) that the greens were Poana grass. I will have to say what spoiled our round was the fact that we were asked to speed up our play TWICE.... even though we had NOONE behind us, and NOONE ahead of us. Eventually I had to be rude to the marshal and tell him to please back off and leave us alone, and that if anyone caught up to us, we would let them through. PS: Price of food is good.

Fun track, great conditions...except...some of the worst bunkers I have ever seen. They look good until you step into them. Half of inch of sand on top of hard pan. Don't think about using a sand wedge, grab the lob. Oh yeah, windy as HELL!

Just got back from Las Vegas. I went with friends who wanted to give me a proper send-off before I move to Hyderabad, India in just 90 short days. We went for the USA Sevens Rugby tournament - - and I had heard great things about The Wolf course at Paiute Resort. Obviously I threw my sticks in the trunk!! All the positive things I've been hearing are most certainly TRUE! My goodness....a "Cheeseburger" review with no negatives?? Can it happen?? Is it true?? Yes...in spades!! Organized, friendly staff...superb practice facility. We went out at 7:30 A.M. on Saturday (2/13/10) - - it was a little cold (41-degrees) but that's not a negative. We may have been the first ones out - - and we saw NOBODY either in front of us or behind us all day. We finished in just a shade over four-hours. The course from tee to green on all 18 wonderful holes is immaculate. The recent rains have made it all as green and plush as you will ever find. Not a bad lie in any fairway...the ball sits up nicely on beautiful green turf-grass as nice as I've ever seen. The greens were rolling so true...fast downhill - true and with the most subtle breaks going uphill. We got some tips from the starter about the greens breaking away from the snow-capped mountains to the West...which was "usually" true...but it's still a good idea to look at every putt from both sides/ends...the breaks, like I said...are subtle...but they are there!! The rough was not too long....perfect for resort golf. The rough was not overly punative...but you'd still rather keep it in the short grass!! I love the layout...most of the greens are well-bunkered...following the "Pro Tips" on the very nice GPS screen in every cart will save you a few strokes. There is just the right mix of shorter par-fours, nice par-threes and long par-fives. Some of the longer par-fours are real monsters. We played from the Yellow tee boxes...perfect, I think for my partner and me...we're both 11.8 Indexers. I shot a smooth 85 (44-41) and I loved every minute I was on the course. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

First time playing this course. Played Jan. 8th early morning. Affortable Resort Golf Course. Great customer services from bag pick up to starter. Course conditon was wonderful from tee to green. The cart got top notch GPS system with very helpful "Pro Tip" guides for each hole. Close to Vegas strip and downtown - only 30 minutes drive. Like to challenge this course again and to try other two courses.
