This course has to be one of the prettiest courses I've played. The fairways were a beautiful, lush green. The "rough" was well manicured. They did a nice job with water hazards on the par 3's . . it's a beautiful course. That being said . . it's a pretty easy course. Very short par 4's and 5's. I would classify it as a "resort course" because the landing areas are huge, the "rough" is as playable as many fairways, and the course is pretty easily overpowered by a long hitter. I'm NOT a particularly long hitter, but this course made me feel like a PGA touring pro because of all the short irons I was hitting in to the par 4's. The course plays 6900 yards from the tips, but it feels a lot shorter. That may have been because of the quick fairways and always getting 20-30 yards of extra roll, but it never gave the feeling of being a long course. The par 3's are beautiful. They are "postcard" holes, and the designers should be proud that they can place such beautiful holes in the middle of the desert. This is not a "desert" layout. Your biggest problem for errant shots are the trees. The conditions were very good. Will I come back . . yeah, it wouldn't bother me to play this course again, but it's not on the top of my favorites in Vegas list.

Another fun little course... I've played this a few times. The greens at this time were on the thin side and bumpy and could have been cared for more for the price. It was nice that it had a hardness to it that could still hold shots in but I'm afraid to say it did not have a true roll because of it's uneven textuture, making the roll untrue and bumpy. 'Definitly have to say that it is not worth the fee at that time we went, the weekend of Thanksgiving. Come to think of it, I've only seen these greens in better shape a few times. This could be that this is a busy course. In any case, if it isn't the greens you come to play for, this is a fun course to play and this could be for you.

The overall fairways, bunkers and teeing grounds are fine. The fairways have a nice roll to it, the teeing grounds are good and the couple of bunkers I was in were OK, the sand has a nice fluff on top with a certain hardness to it underneath... meaning it isn't just fluff nor it is just a hard pan.

The pace of play could be slower than 4 hours at times.

Better Golf Value to be found elsewhere -Tuscany for example.

Other than the excellent staff, not a memorable experience. The course layout is easy, the greens are not in good shape, unless you subscribe to the 'Hop-along-cassidy' school of putting. There are so many choices in LV. I drove 30 min here from the Strip and wished I hadn't by the 3rd hole.

Played Rhodes Ranch the morning of 11/6 as a single. Proshop and starter were both exceptionally friendly. Starter pointed me toward the range and free rangeballs(too bad more courses don't do this). Putted a few practice putts and asked the starter if the greens on the course were rolling as true as the practice green. It was rolling very true. He said it was and he was not kidding. The course is an enjoyable layout that winds through the housing with some pretty tough par 3s. Stayed a single throughout front nine and caught and passed a threesome at #10 and actually stayed between threesome and a foursome in front of me as I was in no hurry on vacation. Never got pushed and the foursome moved out. I finished in around 3:30-3:45. I would definitely play here again when in Vegas.

This course is great. Everything was perfect. Two holes had bad spots on them, but they working very hard to repair them. The customer service was excellent. The marshal came around a couple times to push us. we weren't slow it was the group ahead we were waiting on every hole off the tee then they would disappear when they got to the greens. Great deal with the greenskeeper discount. Only half the price of bears best and a way better course.

Played on Oct 5th. Got off early (7:50 am) and were never held up. Things were top notch. Starter kept a good line on the pace and there was a marshal moving things along all the time. Course was in very good condition. Greens were smooth and rolled well. Not a super difficult course, but very fun for a Vegas weekend. I will be back.

Most always play Rhodes. Great coure with the exception of 2 greens at this time. Worth every penny of $35 for twilight rates.

Played in the late afternoon on Thursday, 6/5/08, on a clear sunny day with only light breezes - perfect golf weather. Very good conditions thruout the course, greens a little firm. However, very poor pace (we played 15 holes in ~4 hrs and had to quit in the dark) and no pace management by the course - didn't ever see a ranger. Twosomes strung out, people playing obviously wrong tees, people not knowing how to play ready golf. Good rate on email special, good conditions, but may not go back.
