Fairways to rough is defined on most holes. The rough thick enough to hold mis-hits out of the borders. Very few dry burnt out areas through the green.
Only critique the sand. Bunkers have been redone but could have used a machining rack out.
Greens not fast and chips held high shots and could be aggressive off fringes with chips.

Fast POP early and a basket of fresh plums available. Good round out in farm country.
Levee work on 99 exit before course was a minor unexpected detour for us.

MKo's review was a pleasant surprise to read. If my reviews influenced his decision to play here passing many better courses on the way north OK!
On to the review early tee time (3rd? out) showed up earlier in order to move up. Accomplished that as two following two for the usual 3:10 POP. This day a lighter tee sheet than normally busier Sundays with nice weather. Keep pace moving the course is wonderful a slow slog and one could question the travel time out here. (45 mins for me)
Usually on Sundays the first tee visible from 7th green to 9th fairway is stacked with a couple groups when we pass by, hence the longer POP noted by MK's prose.
Greens good / great could be slicker and quicker I would not complain. rated 8 my highest.
Tee boxes a bit shaggy with variable divots and some bumps. They are "working" on improving those most in need. A lower cut would improve or more frequently.
Fairways not tight lies, but firm with the proper rollout for conditions.
Bunkers sand firming up from what I observed and the one I exited well (par 3 14th)
Rough getting sticky and taller as the spring grow out continues. Getting penal as it should.
Grill opens at 7:30 and with "home" style mexican flair I've always liked.
Glad that was also validated in previous review.
Walking rate $45 prime time $20 single seat in cart. Makes it an attractive value for my budget and game. Rather move to more weekday golf at Senior rates, but with my friend still working in the concrete it's Sundays to join him. I play it down. Partner lift clean place.
All good and easy to support a facility like this.

Layout is ok... Long par 3s. A few holes I wasn't a fan of. A few holes I needed course knowledge. bunkers have a coarse pebbly sand... but consistent. No beverage cart and not much of a clubhouse. They do have a bar and kitchen, and I was a fan of the bloody mary and the chicken tacos. Decent course, good time.

Fully healed from recent aeration, greens healthy and rolling on the slow side as expected.
Some temporary tee boxes to level and grow the normal ones on a few holes.
Bunkers sand is settling and some are damp in the morning.
Rough is long enough to lose distance and 50/50 chance of a good lie to escape well.
Fun and fast as usual. Beer cold, grill closed which was unusual. Good home/mex cooking.
Saw a bev cart for the first time coming from maintenance garage, and it was near CH at turn empty. Never knew they had one playing here for years.
Looking forward to faster greens nextime:)

Green and getting greener. All good.
Had over 1.5" rain the day before and there was only one low spot with casual water.
All sun Sunday. 43 degree start to 60's little wind.
Rough cut low but damp and penal. Fairways offered roll play it down everywhere.
Greens recently verticut and rolling smooth medium pace. Easy to lag putt.
Burrito and beverages at the turn was tasty. $13 good value.
Fyi they will charge for the empty seat if a rider wants solo use. And on busiest of days they would run out of carts for those checking-in before the first groups play 18 if everyone wanted singles.

Overall the course is in as good conditon as I can recall. Overheard the guys behind us on the 4th as we tee'd off on 5 (back to back par 5's) confirmed they said it was nice too.
The staff has put in the effort the past couple seasons to "bring it back to what is once was". And it is showing.
Fairways mowed with stripes visible and the differentiation from fairway to rough defined now. Thicker rough in spots and the clover and weeds are much less than previous years. Bunkers have soft sand in most having been done as I've mentioned last year.
Greens are good/great very few ball marks. I rated 8/10 for this venue. Rolling a bit slow. With that pace dialed in rolling real nice.
Tee boxes a few not level (white tees) are looking like they are getting ready to re-do 11 & 14 the two that need it. Others ok.
$47 to walk (easy to) I think is a great weekend value. Easy to recommend at this price point.
VIVID golf towels, gloves and tees are being sold in the Pro-shop now. First course I have seen selling VIVID products.

Course is playing a bit wet and has various areas of expected soft spots and cart routing away from those places. Overall general conditions as expected. Lift clean and place was worthy for enjoyment of the game.
Greens rolled medium to slow for here. Good condition.
Bunker sand damp. Good to play out of with the sand added last year a positive.
Rough was maintained not many plugged balls and those from places you prefer not to play from anyway.
Sunny delightful day. The grill had a delicious breakfast burrito ($12) we called in and picked up at the turn. $47 to walk $62 to ride

Early out Sunday before the waning heat of summers last gas? here, using a golf moose and happily paying the extra $20 following two other twosomes at our desired POP, 3.25 hrs. Quick check-in and off to the first tee ready to go.

Course is in good shape overall and the greens in particular all excellent rolling medium speed.
The bunker sand great and mostly smooth a bit damp easy to play from fairway or green-side. The replacement sand has settled nicely. Just a few untended footprints. Fairways offer good lies and roll for this time of year and the rough is not very long, easy outs. Tees could be better and cut shorter but also playable.

Some ground under repair on the par 5 15th fairway appears to be healing and growing in. Now if the tee box on the 14th (white) could be leveled. I intentionally pick a spot thinking it will help my shot shape and usually my swing mechanics let me down. Leaving a chip and putt for par yesterday. Just need to know your game!

In solid shape and a good local choice. 45 minutes for me or 30 from Sacramento. The location the valley farm country is pleasing to me.

7:26 tee T; clubs in trunk 10AM POP 2.5 hrs.
Guy in front of me checking in; " I drive extra to come here because you keep things so nice". He brought along his wife as "his caddie". We were second out following two with them behind us on the front. She didn't have to carry as he had a push cart for her use and she was allowed to use a shopping app on her phone. He had the course GPS on his. She pushed the bag in the caddie role he walked along beside her. It is just FUN!
Clover mix in the fairways in spots. I'd say play it down cuz nothing was "perfect" but all fair through the green. If say an event play.
Greens great right now. tad slower than medium nothing to fear here slope or tricks. Bunkers good with the new sand. The thin to win most effective escape.
Out of the way great place to play. Noticeable former (last few years) areas of dry beds are now more ponds than vernal pools. Therefore to the eye the property looks healthy and fresh right now.
