This course is in awful condition, but I guess you can't expect too much for the price. Teeing off from mats is just wrong. The greens were very shaggy and bumpy and rolled very slow. Staff at the course were nice and the course does have a fun feeling to it. I saw one guy on the course pulling a cooler behind him, which was suprising. For short courses, I would rather go to lake forest or Rec 9 in Long Beach.

I played Skylinks on Friday morning few weeks ago. The course was in very good shape. The greens were smoother here than I have ever seen before. They used to have a lot of ball marks on them but this time they were looking great. Played with some locals who felt the same way. I also really enjoyed sitting on the patio and having a sandwich after I was done.

I played at Lake Forest last week and the greens were incredible. They had some trouble this summer on the practice green with some weird disease or maybe the heat but it looks like they have the greens rolling really well right now. I also noticed whie I was playing that they are adding sand to some of their bunkers. which will be really nice when they are done. Lots of leaves on the course, but then again there are a lot of trees out there. Play during the week and you will have the course to yourself, I loved it.
