Played Saturday 6/7.. No doubt about it.. Olivas is on its way back.. As the other posts stated; the fairways are starting to green up!! Challenging, fun, don't get stuck in the rough course!! Back in the rotation!!

Played Sunday 6/8 Exec course, not very tough.. Greens, fairways, rough, sandtraps and teeboxes in good shape.. Nice place to work on your irons, good customer service and a 3hr 15 minute round..

Played Saturday 5/31.. Been fortunate to get out of a LA and play some different courses in SD.. 3rd group out and finished the round in 4hours!! I have to commend the customer service, we were a half hour early and the let us out.. My buddy is a resident so I only had to pay $39!!

On to the course; not super long (played 6606 from the tips) or over challenging fairly straight holes. Some dog legs, but you get severely penalized for not keeping it in the fairway. The rough is a real beast!! Sand Traps were good, fortunately didn't spend to much time in them!! The Fairways were in nice shape, some discoloration but still firm. The greens were great, fast, fast and rolling true. Overall a nice experience and a great course in San Diego!!

Out in the area for my anniversary, played 5/25.. I'm glad I did, flied solo, first one out & a foursome behind me and it only took me 2 1/2 hours!!! After the 1st tee, I never saw them again..

On to the course Tee boxes lush, no real damage, a few holes unlevel, Fairways nice shape; with all the rain and morning dew, little soggy but not terrible. Beware of the rough, if its not sitting pretty you will have problems. The traps were fairly fluffy, but the highlights had to be the greens. Fast, firm and rolled true.

I read the earlier post so I was a bit apprehensive, but the staff has been doing a good job. I was disappointed that there were no yardage books, luckily I had my sky caddy or I would have no clue how to play some of the holes.. Overall a good time!

Played today 5/24 in the drizzle.. New layout looks good added 2 par 5's now a par 72.. Greens slower than normal, blame the rain!! Customer service Excellent, Sand traps need work..

Played Today Sunday 5/18/08.. Before it hit 100 degrees in the valley.. It definitely was hot today especially when your walking.. The greens are in great shape; rolling true, soft, but on the slower side... The fairways are looking decent, but I don't expect to much at the muni's.. Sand traps getting better, and rough was recently cut down.. My only issue with the course today was the pace of play.. We were behind a slow 4some, no Marshalls so our round took 5hrs!!

Played yesterday (Saturday) Greens, Excellent... Sand Traps nice.. Since the last time I played here (last month) the fairways are getting better!! But still room for improvement.. One piece of advice.. Keep it in play, the rough is brutal!!

Played saturday 5/10.. The customer service is top notch, and very accommadating (out late enjoying the Vegas night life, and there was no way we could make a 9:30 tee time easliy changed it, no problem) Greens were being aerated so we got a discounted rate.. $120 Overall a nice course, many blind shots elevation changes and tight fairways.. Like I mentioned the greens were being aerated so not so great on that one.. Most of the fairways were lush and in great shape but a few holes on the back nine had bare spots. The course is being converted to a "Desert" course, so the rough was being dried out to basically let it die.. But I liked the course and the lay out, it will be interesting to see how it shapes up..

Played today 4/26/08.. First off We like to walk, normally there is a price break. Not at Camarillo Springs $57 regardless. In my opinion I would rather spend $57 to play Olivas or Rustic Canyon. But if you get a 6:15am tee time and finish in just under 4 hours, its not too bad. They just aerated the fairways so there are plugs everywhere. The wind was howling this morning!! So it made some of the holes more difficult then they should be, overall the traps and greens are in good shape. But you won't catch me here for awhile..

Finished in under 4 1/2 hours, the greens have recovered nicely from the aeration. Some tough pin placements, but the ball was rolling nice.. Still one of my favorite places to play, thats why I try to come back every month!!

Played today 4/18 around 4 hours.. Greens still recovering from being punched a few weeks ago.. Very Slow.. They were cutting down the rough today, so not as high as normal

Gotta admit, when I set this tee time up for me and Geraldq18 (btw scrambling like a mad man today) I was really apprehensive. All the reviews and what I had witnessed a few months ago made me regret booking a time. But when we got there and stepped onto #1 we were pleasantly surprised on how the grass was growing on on the fairways on the Front 9. Don't get me wrong they weren't awesome, but they were 10x better than a few months ago.

The back 9 hasn't caught up to the front but at least you can see green!! The greens are freaking in great shape; fast, hard, and rolling true.. If the course continues to improve over the next month or so, I think you will be happy you played here..
