Actually not bad considering. The greens were the best that I've seen out here in years. Play early enough and the pace of play is fair enough. We'll be back.

I knew better, but I was desperate to play. 5 hours and 15 minutes with no marshalls in sight!

The usual Rancho round...pretty good greens, a bit wet for such a nice day, and really slow play. Didn't see a Marshall the whole round. If I wasn't playing so well, I would have walked off the course once we crossed the 5 hour mark (tee off at 8am).

I love Brookside #1- usually a great course and a great challenge. It was beautiful today...but the course was in pretty shape. The tee boxes were muddy, severly damaged by divots, and often severly slanted. Some greens were lightening quick and others were slow. My favorite moment was watching two marshalls talk under a tree while the group in front of us was an entire hole behind. Maybe next time it'll be better.

I've always liked this course...but the ball mark damage on several of the greens was sad.

Their "Summer punch" as begun. All but four greens were punched and sanded yesterday. A real dissapointment. Can't wait for the day that a pro-shop employee tells me that they are punching their greens when I make a tee-time...and not after I've driven an hour to get there.

The greens were punched last week, but it looks like they will be slow to recover. Wait another week or so if you want to make any putts.

Didn't see the aeration alert, got stuck behind a terribly slow group, and played a temporary hole (#7 plays as Par 3)...at least the weather was great! Not worth the money today- but I'll go back.

I expected the 5 1/2 hour round the day before Thanksgiving, but not the horrible greens. Would someone please fix a ball mark!

Come and play a beautiful golf course and witness nature's power- the course is completely surrounded by charred hills. Makes you even more thankful for what we have here in SoCal. But make sure to walk, with superwide fairways and cart path only its definitely set up for walkers right now.
