I love this little golf course. Played it many times but today was the first time this year. This place rewards well placed tee shots and there's just enough tilt in the greens to keep you interested. Course in great shape, smooth greens. (lost match)

Wow, I can't believe 1scgolfer is bellyaching so much after throwing a little 79 on this golf course from the rough. (I think he hit two fairways) The most irritating thing is keeping the carts off fairways when the path goes down the left side on dogleg right holes. Such a hike to get to your ball! And yes, alot of the tees were uneven. Try cutting a driver when it's above your feet on a fade hole. Course should be really nice in a month when they finish sodding. Worth forty, not eighty.

We played behind the final match of Long Beach city match play so you can imagine how quick the greens were. They rolled true and with alot of subtle break. Not a hard course to get up and down since the ball sits well in the rough. And by the way, the saying "if ya can't beat 'em, join 'em" rings true so I teamed up with 1scgolfer and won the match on 17. Sweet victory! My favorite Long Beach course.

Nice little layout. No surprises but lake edges are somewhat hidden if you don't pay attention. Fairways and greens in decent shape. I especially enjoyed my lunch at nearby Tommy's on 1scgolfer's dime. I drained a 50 footer on seventeen to earn that meal. sweet!

I like the layout here. Nice par 3's. Course was in typical muni conditions. Not bad, not great. I think the greenskeeper overslept this morning and didn't get a chance to cut the greens. A little on the slow side. Weak finishing hole.

Rustic Canyon is like our British Open. Plays like no other golf course in So Cal. This course makes you over think your short game. Lots of fun. But alas, I lost to 1scgolfer. Had to buy him lunch. It might be fun to come back in late July and play after watching the British Open.

Curiously empty for Sunday morning. Teamed up with 1scgolfer and lost to the other twosome because he three jacked 18. I still like the course because of the tricky greens but today, not so good.

Played with 1scgolfer. Greens rolled surprisingly well, even after the aeration. I also didn't smell the dairy which is always a plus. If I wanted to smell that odor, I'll just step into 1scgolfer's bathroom. The Goose is one of my favorite golf courses. Challenging but fair and doesn't require any local knowledge. Just don't play if it rains the night before your tee time or you'll really "notice" the bordering dairy.

Played with 1scgolfer. poor sap got nailed in the back of his head with a golf ball while "feeding" the weeds. The guy recovered and still played well. I enjoyed the greens here. I just can't seem to hit that 18th fairway. Oh well, go to IN & OUT after the round and get a double double animal and enjoy.

The only reason I dragged myself to Donald Trumps baby is because they had a "2 pay 4 play" special. Great deal for $49.00. I would never pay full price for this torture. MUST hit fairways or bring lots of balls, but not your ProV1s. Mr. Pete Dye is a bonafide lunatic. Suck it up and play the whites and you'll enjoy it.

When you get to the parking lot and open your door and the wind is HOWLING, get back in your car and eat a nice breakfast. We toughed it out & couldn't break 100. Balls wouldn't stay on tees or the green. Kinda like the '91 Ryder Cup. Love to try again under calmer conditions. Shot makers course. Great layout.
