Everything you hear about this course is true. The best way I've heard it described is that Wolf Creek is a Golf Calendar come to life. The yardage book is a lifesaver. I played the "Challenger" tees as a medium-long hitter 8 handicap and I was put to the test, but still shot mid-80s with a good ball-striking day. The course requires complete trust of shots. Lots of long forced carries, but nothing ridiculous. This is a fun course if you're looking for a change from a classic or resort layout. We dubbed this the centerfold of golf courses--it's obscenely beautiful. The only possible complaint about the course was that the greens played slow; fair, but slow. Putts you would expect to roll out a few more feet would stop short. We played twilight and felt the rate was appropriate--not a rip off and not a steal. I don't know if I would pay the standard in-season rate, but it's worth a trip.

Great course, great condition, good value. It's a low key alternative to more expensive area courses like Ledges, Entrada or Coral Canyon.

I played the Lexington course on Thursday, August 10th and the course was in horrible shape. The fairways were more brown than green. The greens were green, but sanded with coarse sand. The rough was more brown than the fairways. The course attempted to rehabilitate the course by drenching it in water, but that resulted only in a wet brown course. It was so bad that the starter recommended that we bump onto green patches. I guess that's Vegas Summer Rules.

Aside from the awful course condition, the course was nice. I played the back tees, but felt that only the par 5's played long, all but one three-shot holes. Elevation changes are dramatic and the yardage book should be consulted frequently, especially on the first few holes on the back side to avoid good shots with bad results.

Although I agree that a few holes are unnecessarily tricked up, I enjoyed the course layout and would consider going back if the course looked more like a golf course and less like a hay field.

Fine course, and a great value, if you have much more time than money. If it doesn't kill you to spend $50 or more, skip this one. If it does kill you, then bring something to do while you wait on every single hole, especially the first 5. First 9 on a Thursday afternoon was finished in 3 hours. Back played relatively fast in just under 2 1/2.

Worth the twilight fee; not sure if I would pay more. Certainly one of the hardest courses in LA. Very nice course layouts. We played 2 days before they were aerifying resulting in very hard greens. I'm sure the course is near perfect in Summer. I'll go back for sure.
