Fivesomes! Why? Why? Why? I think I saw one foursome in front of our group, (oh, my group was a... fivesome!) the foursome consisted of two, slow older men who felt like this was their course, and a younger man with his 8 yr old kid. Besides that, fivesomes! If this course is going to charge what it does for twilight with cart ($31), then it would be nice if they didn't allow fivesomes. I could have finished this course (tee'd off at 4:14pm) but the fivesomes made it impossible since there was a wait either on the tee box or on the fairway. I HATE FIVESOMES, it only slows the pace and your tempo.

What't the deal with this course all of the sudden? I loved this course, but played this weekend and was so disappointed at the condition of the greens (horrible: dried out, unrepaired ballmarks, crab crass). I know that it's a great deal for weekend twilight for $29 with cart, but letting fivesomes go out and packing this course to max. capacity does not make it for a relaxing and comfortable golf experience. Please have this course go back to quality and not trying to get quantity of players out there. Don't let this course fall by the wasteside and become just another crappy public course. The staff also, what's with hiring loud teen boys full of testosterone talking about who wants who's girlfriend (short Asian kid with spiked hair.) Let's get this back to a qaulity golf club... please. I go to enough annoying public course here in the city, it's nice to get away from that, and Sierra Lakes used to be one of those places.

Played in a tournament here and was extremely disappointed at the condition of the greens here. The first time I played here the greens were in great shap, rolling true and challenging. This last time it didn't matter how I read the greens, they just weren't rolling. For the green fees they charge at this course the whole course should be in top quality shape. Either fix this or lower the fees. Also, what's the point of getting rid of the GPS to try and save money if you're not going to bring down the price or maintain the condition, or not over pack this course. I would rather drive to Inland Empire an pay the same rate for better quality courses.

Played this course for the first time and was taken by surprise. I liked the layout and it was farily well kept. The pace was a bit slower than expected (there was a 20 minute delay.) For the condition and the amount of play this course seems to get, I think it's a bit overpriced and when I asked how much for a replay, they said they didn't do that and that I would have to pay the regular green fee, at that point it was already twilght and the rate with a cart was still $30... way too much for this course. I'd play this course again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to pay those green fees. I'd rather drive another 15 mins. and play River Ridge. Although the cart girl was really cute.

Played on Sat. 4/8/05 and I might as well have thrown my $40 out a window. Have never experienced such slow and unorganized service. No starter at tee box to control the back up, the starter himself was slow and confused checking in people's tee times. I had a 12:58 tee time, arrived early, at 12:30, didn't tee off until 1:30 and finished my round at 7:00. They allow fivesomes, which I got stuck with, they overpack the course which makes your game a wait and rush form of play (wait at tee boxes for 10-15 minutes, rush your shots and putts to not hold anyone up.) The group I was playing with quit after 12 holes. Very disappointing since this is a fairly decent track, surprisingly. The fairways and tee boxes were in decent shape, green and lush, the greens were in better shape than expected and rolled faster than they appeared. I would love to play it again, but it makes me think twice with as slow and as full as this course gets, right up with there with Rancho Park as far as pace of play goes.

Played this course for the first time on Wed 3/22 and was highly impressed. The fact that I came 5 feet from getting a hole in one on there signature hole #14 made it even better. The traps are thin, which I noticed was the biggest complaint, but that makes it a challenge in itself. Great fairway conditions, great layout, the greens were a bit slower than I expected, but I'm sure they'll be punching them soon. I got on for $39 with a discount, but I would pay the full price during the week to play this course again. I recommend playing this course at least once.

Ditto on the previous comment. I loved this course. Played for the first time on 10/25 and was intimidated by the level of play needed. Realized you can't play timidly or this course will eat you alive. Played again the following week (11/2) played a better round. It takes at least 2 or 3 times plaing this course to get familiar with it and know how to play it. The drive was well worth this course. One of the better conditions I've ever played on. Tough, tough greens. Fairways were beautiful as were the views of the valley. If you're not afraid of tight lies, carrying canyons over 200 yds. and tough, fast undulating greens I recommend this course. I'll definitely play this course again. If you're not able to keep it straight, then bring plenty of balls or stay away. Fell in love with this course!

Haven't played this course since I first began playing golf over 5 years ago, and I know why I stopped playing here. Played here Nov. 6. Worst kept golf course, next to Azusa Greens, I've ever played. No knowing where the fringe and the rough begins and ends. The fairway was just like playing on somebody's crappy lawn. The tee boxes were being reseeded, but couldn't really tell they were. Might as well just tee off the rough. They placed the temp. tees on the slope of tee-box so couldn't get a decent lie or stance to tee off. The greens were bumpy and a couple had crab grass growing in. The pace was slower than I'm used to (5 hours?) People don't know how to keep the pace when drinking and smoking and hacking up the course more than it already is. The range ran out of balls to hit (I've never heard that.) You know it's bad when even the starter is complaing about the maintenance of their own course. Should have saved my money and played Pico Rivera par 3. Not worth the $40 to play in the condition this course is in. Someone needs to contact Arnie's company and shut this place down for a whole revamping of this course. It could be a nice course if they took the right steps to redo the whole course. What is it with the courses in that area charging well over $40 (Montebello?) when one can play better rated courses just outside of that city for a few buck more? (Los Serranos, San Dimas, Marshall Canyon, Santa Anita, Alhambra, Wilson-Harding) Ripping off people! I'll never come back to this course unless they shut it down and fix it correctly!
