I don't play skylinks that much anymore because the course isn't worth the fee. However I played there today because I couldn't walk on at lakewood. The course was in very good shape, fairway, greens, sand, and rough all seemed in good shape and much better than down the street at El Do or Lakewood (which is normally not the case). Only complaint besides the greenfee was that the tee boxes weren't the best.

Played 9/20, thought I would go play this course since I am planning on driving out there for the event. The greens are fast, and are a little tricky in spots. They rolled smooth and there didn't seen to be much ball mark damage. Fairways were nice and the rough wasn't super long but was thick, you have to hammer down on the ball to get any kind of normal flight. My only problem was the traps, they were hard and some were harder, almost impossible to use a club with any bounce because you couldn't get the club under the ball.

The course is tough, but it seems like you can really benefit from playing the course multiple times. I found myself driving up to the landing area before I hit off the tee a few times because I wasn't sure where to put the ball.

Liked the course, played the blue tees at 7100 yards. The distance wasn't a huge issue, but the 625 yard par 5 was playing straight into a strong wind (I consider myself a long hitter and I was still 100 out with a good drive and crushed 3 iron). The greens were firm but rolled good, the breaks were tough to read. The Customer Service stunk, I booked a $30 twilight special rate on their site the night before from my hotel room, wrote down the confirmation number (couldn't print it because I was at a hotel), when I got to the shop he charged us $39 a piece I argued with him and the guy told me I was wrong they don't offer a $30 rate. We had to pay the $9 extra each, when I got back to the room I checked my email and the rate was $30 bucks.

Played both the 19th and 20th, course looks really nice despite the heat. If you are not driving the ball well on this course it is going to be a very long day with lots of lost balls. Course was in good shape with the exception of the greens, slow, bumpy, and sandy.

Played Sat. 1/26, course was very wet but it didn't rain while playing. Walked on with the 9th group to start the day, round took about 4 1/2 hours. Greens still in good shape, soft and medium/slow because of the rain. Fairways were typical for this time of year and rough was low. The sand was hard to judge it was hard a the bottom but softer on the slopes (were the rain puddled it was the hardest). Always worth the greens fee if you can somehow get on.

played today course is in good shape. First time playing here, well worth the drive. The guy giving us a new cart on #8 said we set the record for quickest cart running out of juice. Fairways and grees lush and in good shape. Sand was a little hard.

played 1/19, pace was very slow. Slow day already and then the group in front of us was painfully slow (hole and a half behind). Tee time was 9:40 finished 3:40, six hours. Course was in decent shape, greens tough because they were so firm. Biggest complaint was the tee boxes (divot damage and sand on them) and collars of greens.

Played 8/11, long round, course was okay shape, the rough was tough and thick in some areas, the Fairways and bunkers were in pretty good shape. My main complaint besides the time it took to play 5 1/2 hours, was the ball mark damage on the greens. The greens are smaller than most muni courses which have have caused part of the problem, but either way there were way too many.

Favorite course to play in the area, but was disappointed with conditions and pace on 7/21. Round took a long time to play, 5 1/2. The greens were okay some bare spots and divot damage, the failways were not in good shape the had 2 inch lines in them from tee to green which resulted in some less then ideal lies, greens had similar lines but had mostly healed.

Greens were impossible to put on, with the greens patchy and slow due to the weather they became much much worse when they were punched. The layout was nice. They had recently punched the parts of the fairways also, the sand and tee boxes were in really good shape.

Liked the layout and the course was in good shape for the summer. This round was less enjoyable then previous rounds at the classic club and Escena, played on 7/7, it was a hot day. I did not come as prepared because water had been easily available at the previous courses. The front 9 was good, but I don't believe we saw the cart girl after the 9th and the last bathroom/ water station was on the 12th I believe, this made the last few holes very hot and tough.

played 7/5, the customer service was great with all the free bottled water it made to hot day enjoyable. The course was in okay shape, the fairways and greens are what you would expect in the middle of the summer. The sand was bad, it was rock hard.
