With a rating of just under 6, I'm wondering if people are playing the same course. Perhaps they're reviewing the Legends course at Tahquitz (which is far different and not as nice?). This course is the best kept secret in the Coachella Valley. Do yourself a favor and check it out. And I hope you enjoy it as much as I do--I think the front nine rivals any course in the valley for beauty. The back just doesn't have as much water, but is still very nice.
Heads up--the driving range is AWFUL, because of its popularity, but that is the only weak spot, imo.

Played my first round at Classic Club in a scramble. Pace of play was brutal, but that is to be expected for tournaments of this ilk.
Great layout for risk/reward golfing (you big hitters may be able to drive a few green, but DON'T MISS), and the par 3s were very challenging.
Good experience, and the staff was country club level professional. Worth the splurge, I'd say--it's not cheap, so enjoy!

How could this course only be rated under 5.5?! Interesting without being quirky. Challenging without being punitive for punitive sake. Beautiful without pretense. Love it!

Terrible, no REALLY terrible. Unmaintained dog track! Should have taken pictures. Large 3-4' weeds growing THROUGH a metal bench near one tee box! The box? Rough length grass--tee'd up my ball and it was at the height of the grass! Ridiculous. Literally have never seen a course this ratty. Save your money!

Nice course and excellent value. Well maintained and challenging w/o being kooky. Nice mix of holes with risk/reward and long/short. Would play again and highly recommend.
