played Saturday with dconnally. 8:30am and paid $78.

POP was the only downside. 5+ hour round

This was my first time here and I will be back over and over again. This picturesque views and the condition were amazing! Probably the best condition course i have ever played.

service was great, everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

Nice range and short game area with large putting green.

tee boxes were a bit chewed up in places with divots, however plenty of grass. My only gripe other than POP.

fairways were immaculate. never a bad lie, grass was lush and just perfect.

rough was the same way, perfectly manicured.

sand = thanks goodness i never found a bunker. However they looked great!

greens were phenomenal. rolled quick and very true. No bumps and just a few divots that were fresh from the groups in front (no big deal).

I will be back. This place is fantastic and even if you have a bad round, the scenery will make it better!

This is a private club, i had my club make a tee time on my behalf at El Camino today with 2 friends. Tee'd off at 1pm and finished in 4 hours.

Customer service was great, everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

There is a putting green and a nice short game area. The range is about 8 stations hitting into a large net, which is fine for warm up.

Keep in mind it rained the last couple days, however the course was not wet and played nicely.

Tee boxes were in good shape and fairly level.

Fairways were nice, a bit thin at times but always had a nice lie.

Rough was patchy and got a few bad lies and when in the rough, usually had tree trouble. doh!

I found a few bunkers and they were decent.

Greens rolled true, a bit on the medium pace. No divot marks and the greens were probably the best part of the day.

will definitely play here again. Enjoyed the course layout.

Played South Course today with a bunch of golf friends whom are members. It was one of those rounds that I had to play because the price was worth it (nearly free compared to what they charge).

This is a high end facility, like very high end! It certainly lived up to that.

From when you drive in, to check in...1st class help. Driving range is the best of the best with real greens/bunkers for targets - all uphill.

The carts are luxury seating golf carts (no gps) with bottled water.

Tee boxes were lush but many were uneven.

Fairways where very lush and undulating. However i never had a bad lie.

Rough was long and lush and at some points hard to even find a ball just off the fairway in the rough.

Bunkers were like concrete. Probably from after the rain. Very difficult to hit out of them. Good thing i was only in 2!

Greens are large and soft. They were painfully slow. Was off pace all day, could not get used to hitting the putts so hard.

The one thing that is still lingering with me...the views! They are just superb. From the green glass to the layout of bunkers all with ocean views.

If you have the opportunity to tee it up at Pelican, its a must.

Played in the GK event, always a good time with good people. Thank you JohnnyGK!

This is my first time at Indian Wells. So here go:

We pull up and zero parking anywhere, were forced to Valet the car. Attendant was courteous, took our bags and brought them down. By the time we make it to the check in by the putting green, the bags are on the cart. Customer service was excellent.

There is a 9 hole putting course, very fun/cool idea...and the greens are VERY SLOW imho. To me, I am used 10-11 on the stimp. These were maybe 5 or 6? Nevertheless, it was fun and challenging to get warmed up to the greens.

Get to the practice range next, plenty of balls...but no tee's. Had to walk back and grab tee's. There was no yardage signs for the flags, but a very small plaque about 10 yard into the driving range, if i walked up to read it, may get hit by others in the range. The grass was lush and the ground was firm, which is deal conditions for the range.

Now our time to head to the first hole. The martial gives us a few instructions and we are off.

Tee boxes: lush, level and in great condition.

Fairways: lush grass, never had a bad lie. They were perfectly manicured.

Rough: lush grass, never had a bad lie, but had some fliers. was not as penalizing as it looked. ball came out really well from the rough.

Bunkers: soft sand with hard wet under layer. Good thing i was only in 2 of them!

Greens: Brutally slow and tough to read. downhill put playing like it was uphill (read very slow). However they were very soft and receptive to full and partial shots into the greens. I am not a fan of the slow greens, but they are very lush and green! I did not see any bare spots at all.

Now the only complaint...the martial. He kept on telling us we were behind. Then he would say there is a group 3 hole ahead that was holding everyone up. WHAT? EXCUSE ME? There is no one holding us up and we are not holding anyone up. He came by 2 or 3 times and left a bad taste in my mouth with his "policing". I heard many others talking about this guy as well.

I will be back to play this course again. I liked the picturesque layout and the conditions were great!

Played The Crossings today for GK Cup 6 match play.

This is the first time I have been here. The driving range is off astroturf, very large putting green and a nice chipping area with a bunker. The facility is quite nice and great views!

tee boxes were someone un-level and lots of divots. However it's expected when playing a twilight around.

Fairways are in great shape. I did not find many bare spots and always had a nice or decent lie (when I hit the fairway).

The rough was lush with some bare spots. Was not too penalizing and ball was never buried.

The bunkers (yes i was in a couple) had plenty of sand and were very fluffy.

The greens...THEY ARE MASSIVE with huge undulations. I mean HUGE and with vast large drops and tiers that i thought only existed on the miniature golf course. I am not sure what grass these greens are, but they are very soft when you walk on them, feel like carpet, however many of them did not hold the shot very well. They were a tad more on the bumpy side, rather than smooth. Too many un-repaired ball marks. They were however very green.

With that being said...will i be back. YES i will. I enjoyed the lay out and would play here again!

Tee'd off Wed at 3:45pm for $40 as a single and I was on the 18th tee box at 6:45pm. That's my type of POP!

Last time I played here was about a year ago and the course was in terrible shape. It has improved greatly since then.

I regularly visit the range here during the week. Big grass hitting area (Wed-Sun) and mats on Mon-Tues.

Tee boxes were average. Some Par 3's were hurting

Fairways are tight lies and in great shape.

Rough was lush green grass and medium height

Bunkers were a bit hard but lots of sand so they were playable

Now the greens, some are in great shape and rolling true and others are fungus infected and patches all over it with green filled sand. I must say they are better than a year ago but this course has always struggled with the greens for some reason.

I would not pay more than $40 ever to play this course, until they improve the greens.

Played in the GK event 5/18/2013.

Its a journey to get to this club, but when you finally arrive, there is lush grass and everything is very green! I was excited for the round.

Nice large putting/chipping green area and grass driving range.

Tee boxes: Most were in great shape, however the par 3's were a bit chewed up. #17 was a bit different, the ground was so hard I could not put a tee in the ground.

Fairways: They were in excellent shape, lush grass and awesome!

Rough: In great shape with lush green grass.

Bunkers: I was only in #18 bunker. Nice sand and no complaints there at all.

Greens: Quick and rolled true. A few bumps here and there. However these greens are in awesome shape right now.

Kudos to the staff for this course being in such great shape. I had a great time!

Also, the food was great in the clubhouse and the staff was very friendly and courteous.

Teed off at 12:15pm...finished at about 5:45pm. Brutal LONG round!

It's becoming the norm here, 5+ hour rounds. I won't be back for awhile.

Nice practice facility with a couple large greens for putting and for shipping.

Staff is very friendly.

Tee boxes were a bit uneven and on the verge of being beat up on many. There is sand on some tee boxes, however i saw LOTS of divots and no sand on them. Good thing we waited 5-10min on every tee box, plenty of time to fill those divots!

Fairways were lush green grass and in great shape, so was the rough. Big plus!

Bunkers were muddy and others just wet. Good thing I only found a couple.

Greens have healed very well, a bit furry and bumpy from old ball marks.

They also got new carts, nice added bonus.

For those who never played, the front nice is great and the back nine, is well, different than the front!

8:40am round yesterday 5/4/2013 with GK member doctor_swiz. Thanks to him for the hookup on the round of golf!

Played the Black Tee's.

Staff is always great, Valet is an added bonus.

Remember, if this is your first time playing here...NO driving range, you just hit into nets. However there is a putting/chipping green.

Tee Boxes were in fairly good shape, only a couple par 3's were a bit uneven.

Fairways were mostly good. Still a lot of thin bare spots, but a vast improvement over the last time I played here recently.

Bunkers - TERRIBLE! I was in quite a few of them and they were all like concrete. No fluffy sand like last few times. Hard as a rock. This has to be fixed. I even heard others around the course cursing at the bunkers.

Greens - They are in good shape, rolled a bit on the slower side, but ran true.

On the 18th hole, no more coot crap problems.

Tee'd off at 8:20am this morning. Played the Copper tee's. Just under 7,000 yards.

POP was just a bit over 4 hours and waited maybe a minute on a few tee boxes. Must say I was very happy with the pace we were playing.

The front 9 greens are still healing and need a week or two. However the back 9 greens have healed nicely and were rolling great.

Fairway and rough were in good shape. They were watering quite a bit.

The bunkers show a vast improvement, sand is nice and was quite surprised.

Tee boxes were level and lots of lush grass. A bit long, but that is ok!

Tee'd off just before noon with GK'er Doctor Swiz. Done in 3 hours 45min! That's my type of round.

They aerated a few weeks ago...they are about 80% healed i would guess.

Customer service is great here, staff is courteous and friendly.

Played the Black tee's.

Tee Boxes: Longer grass than I am used to, my guess they over seeded and letting it grow a bit before mowing. It is lush grass and in great shape.

Fairways: they are definitely letting the fairway grass grow. It's quite long and fury for the fairway, not a lot of run out either. When they cut it, it should be perfect!

Rough: not as brutal as it was last time, however around the greens...its some long grass and can be very penalizing.

Bunkers: I was in a few, the one green side bunker i was in on #9 had huge footprints all over and of course my ball was in one. The sand is very consistent and easy to get out of (thanks to all my bunker practice in Arrowood's bunkers!)

Greens: they are healing nicely. Still sandy and plenty or aeration marks. They are on the slow side which is a given with all that sand. Few more weeks and I think they will be awesome!

I am really liking this course, enjoy the shear difference between the front and back nines. Also a variety of holes that challenge you.

I will wait a bit for the course to heal a bit more and will be playing it again soon!

Not sure how this got an 8.7? I rate it about 7.5 on my meter

Tee'd off 11:30am on 3/24 with fellow GK'ers (see reviews below).

A bit of wind made each shot a little harder to judge and some holes play a lot longer!

Tees: Black

First pull up, the clubhouse is very nice! The course looked very green and was excited to play the round!

practice facility: putting green and chipping green were very nice and in great shape. greens rolling quick and true (just right). The range is just ok (grass was a min and needed work), but it's there.

tee boxes: found them to be in excellent shape, level and plenty of grass. On some holes, they were a LONG ways back :)

fairways: loved them...when i found them (rare!) thin, dormant burmuda and in excellent shape. Wish i found more fairways in my round.

rough: very lush and in great shape, maybe 2-3" length. They were just right IMHO.

bunkers: oh THE bunkers! There are quite a few of them and I was in almost every single one. I was on the beach more than i care to remember. However, every.single.bunker I was in was the same. Great fluffy sand with a harder bottom layer. Took me awhile to figure out how to get OUT of the bunker though. Did I mention i was in 2 bunkers on the same hole on multiple occasions.

greens: found them to be a perfect speed, on the quicker side and rolling true. Not many marks on them. We fixed a lot of divots, even the GK'ers behind us said "no divot marks on the greens"? lotrgolfer48 replied "we fixed them all" - classic!!!

Overall I had a great time, i will definitely be back. this is a great layout and really enjoyed myself, beside being in every bunker.
