Played Aspen Lakes as our last stop in our trip to Bend. Great course! It doesn't have the mystique as Crosswater or Pronghorn but it holds its own. The greens were considerably slower than the other courses I played, but still rolled at about a 9.5-10. Fairways and rough were in good shape. The sand in the bunkers were red and and a little thin. Fairly narrow course, but had some good challenging short holes. Customer service was wonderful. Had lunch and a beer at the bar afterwards. Great food selection and had about 5 microbrews on tap :) Great value and would recommend this course for those who are looking and a mid range course to play.

Actually played both the Nicklaus and Fazio Courses on August 24. The Nicklaus Course was in great shape. Greens were rolling fast and true (rolling at about an 11.5). Fairways were good and rough was fairly thick. Out of the 2 courses, the Fazio Course is the more prestigious and receives more of the acclaim. With that being said, I think I would agree. The Nicklaus is definitely a must play but there are some weird holes with bunkers in the middle of the fairways (never was a fan of that). The scenery was AMAZING and breathtaking. Customer service is top notch and everyone there was extremely nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend both courses!

I played the Crosswater Course for a tournament on August 23rd. The course was in immaculate shape! The greens were perfect and rolling fast (about an 11.5-12) and pure. There was a good mix of holes and shot placement was key. Knowledge is big on this course with some tee shot. Some of the holes they have strategically placed hazards that come into play and thus taking driver out of the mix. Fairways were nicely mowed and the rough was lush. Would definitely come back and play this course!
