Golf Course Reviews
Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Since I am a member, I have a "Little Bias", but I have played quite a few Golf Courses
in Oregon. With any review, you have to use other courses to base it against! I will use Southern Oregon Golf Courses. By my estimation this Course is the Cream of the Crop in Southern Oregon and one of the 10 best in the State. It offers a lot challenge, but if you are playing well you can score! If not, carry an extra sleeve! Great set up and always in terrific shape. Some water holes that come into play, but does have a creek meandering through it that you have to be aware of at all times. (seems to always be in your landing area!)
Greens are good size and undulating as are most RTJ jr. courses. Originally Bent grass greens, but are being take over by poa. The management just purchased in 2010 three or four new "Green Rollers" and the greens can be very slick when they want them to be. Which is a lot of fun!! Overall design is Very Good, and scenery is Terrific with Deer and Wild Turkeys living on the course. Not Pretentious, but Upscale!! It is one of those tracks, that can be played over and over without any boredom setting in. With 5 sets of tees, it a challenge for anyone. Great sand, fairway and greens always in Beautiful shape. If it was in Southern California, would be 100 g's to join! Try it out, and you will want to have lunch and go out again!
