The overall condition of this course was excellent and the layout was challenging but beautiful.
Unfortunatley I played this course over the 4th of July weekend and it was packed. One thing that really irritated me was that I made my tee time over a month in advance (which I was charged an extra fee) and they paired me and my buddy with another two-some. Our wives were riding in a seperate cart and following us so now they were uncomfortable with these two additional players as well. I told the two guys to just play ahead but that just stacked the course up even more.
Then the Marshalls were coming over almost every other hole (Even though they said we weren't holding anyone up) and just bothering us.
Sometimes the little things are what makes a course great and I think this course has that potential. They just didn't show it to me on this trip. I will be heading back to Oregon but I don't think I will be playing this course again.

I played this course reluctantly today because in the past it resembled a cow pasture (under different management). Well although this course looks much better than last time... It's still in rough shape and could use some more GRASS!
The fairways are very short and a lot of areas are dirt, and the "rough" isn't any different. It was relatively unpleasant to play here and I am officially boycotting this course.
There were just so many cons that I will just say this... Don't waste over $30 ... yes I said it ... OVER $30 is too much to pay for this course. Rubbish!

Tour 18 is a collection of some of the most famous and historical golf holes in America. Some of the holes included are the Blue Monster, all of Amen Corner, and a little piece of TPC Sawgrass to guarantee you get your fill.
This is a very popular course but rightfully so. It is always in great condition, the pace of play in never too bad, the price per experience is well worth it, the golf holes are priceless, there's no houses on the course, and you can get some very reasonable tee times/prices on golfnow.com.
The first thing that pops out at you when you play this course is that it's groomed to perfection. Which really only enhances the experience of playing a cloned verision of a great golf hole. I've played here only twice because I don't actually live in Houston but this is definitely my favorite out of the 8 or so courses I've played in the Houston area.
I strongly recommend this course to actual golfers. Keep the hackers at home for this one because some of these holes will eat their lunch.

Great mature course. This course has a big brother called the Traditions course which is better but the Cypress course is cheaper. I think for the money it is definitely top 5 in the north Houston area.
I played this course in January and it was still in really good shape. I can only imagine how good it looks in June. I give it a 7 overall. Will probably play there again.
