Agree with toddieo, Twin Oaks golf course play firmer in the August. They overseed in October so by December things are more green. Course was in very good playing condition this afternoon. A little slower the normal weekday pace. Must be all the LA golfers moving in on our SD golf! Kidding toddieo. Short course with a lot of trouble if not straight hitter.

Balboa Park Golf Course is nothing really special. Mature course with some good holes but all in all a muni. Golf course was in decent shape when I played it last week. You’re better off driving across the bridge and playing Coronado although good luck getting out!

Always enjoy playing Barona Creek Golf Club. Always kept in fantastic shape, fun layout, and worth every penny. Our group played the Gold tees and the course was plenty long. My advice to those playing it for the first time is not to take the relatively wide open fairways for granted and play conservative. Bank on your short game and reading the tough greens correctly.
