5+ hours with a 45 minute delay in the starting tee time....unacceptable. The fairways are barren as they are planning to overseed in 10 days but no discount on the rate and no warning when making the tee time. The greens were in pretty good shape although only medium in speed. Can't recommend at this time. Ask about the condition of the course when making your tee time. Not a great experience this time.

Played Saturday, 26 May for the daily rate of $67. After playing the Ledges the day before, the ambiance is noticeably different here. A no-frills clubhouse and reception, just bare-bones golf. The driving range is "irons only" and is not included in the green fee. Although the course is in average condition, it is fun to play (more so than the more upscale Ledges). We played the Pointe followed by Blackrock; both had some interesting and unusual hole designs. No GPS and poor yardage markings make a range finder mandatory here. We had the good fortune to play with a Marshall who gave some helpful hints. The red sand bunkers were different (thicker sand) but were fair and consistent. The greens on the Point were faster than the slow greens on Blackrock. Both were somewhat bumpy. In all this was a fun golf experience although not quite as nice as some other courses in town. Recommended for the fun value.

Played Friday, 25 May at the twilight rate of $60. First class atmosphere with a beautiful clubhouse. Nice GPS system on the carts but a moot point when you can't drive within a 100 yards of the greens. I'd recommend some yardage markers to help judge distances in these critical wedge areas. Pace of play was excellent (3 hours for two) as the course was fairly empty. Unfortunately, we started on #10 as the back nine is more impressive than the front nine, which left us wanting more. The fairway conditions are next to perfect while the rough is quite penal (thick). Beautiful scenery on the back nine. Greens were smooth and true but were a bit on the slow side and didn't hold shots well. They also were a bit tricked up as they had many undulations and tiers. Bunkers were a little "soft"...my wife's ball was almost completely buried in one. In all a nice course with excellent conditions but I would be hard pressed to shell out $110 to play it...try it after 2 PM.

Played this course on 5 Nov for the local cardholder rate of $69. Pace of play was on the slow side as this is the busy time of year with tourists who seem to think 5 hrs is normal to play 18 holes. The course is in fabulous shape. The greens are relatively smooth and very fast. They were receptive to even my non-performance level golf ball (Noodle). Can't overstate the quality of the conditions of this course. Outstanding maintenance all year long. The people who work here are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet (with the exception of some in the proshop). Wonderful golf experience---highly recommend.

Played this course on 15 Jul for golfnow.com rate of $69 (Presido/Mision). Course was in only average condition. The greens were somewhat disappointing--very bumpy with severe divot damage and rolling medium slow. The fairways were okay, but this course layout is dangerous to fellow golfers as many holes are next to each other. Had several close calls (receiving and giving ends). Short course a little on the easy side. Pace of play was extremely slow with two groups on each tee box on the back nine. Not worth the rate of $69; would not recommend.

Played on 8 Jul for the cardmembers rate of $29 (best bargain in town). I don't know how they keep this course in such good condition. I've played this course several times since my last post and the conditions remain excellent. My only grip is the 16th green which has started to develop some bare areas. Greens rolled true and fast. Bunkers were consistent. Played in less than 3 1/2 hours. Customer service is second to none. The three courses at Paiute are among the best in the Las Vegas area. You will truly find solitude here as you don't really see any other golfers around you. Highly recomended!

Played on 9 Jul for local rate of $39. Course is in average to good shape. Several bare spots in the fairways, which seemed to lack the lushness of the better courses in town. Bunkers were like sand boxes in some areas. Greens were soft but on the slow side. One of the course workers mentioned that they need to keep the greens somewhat long due to the heat. Nice course set up and fun to play. Nice to see mature trees lining the fairways (rare in LV area). Need to hit the ball straight off the tees to score well. A pretty course that needs some TLC. Pace of play was excellent (3 1/2 hours). Would recommend for the locals rate of $39.

Played this course on 19 Jun (Monday) for the local twight rate of $38. This is a fun course to play as it has many elevated tee shots that require you to think your way around the course. It is a little tough to manage your way around the course on your first attempt, but it is visually stunning with some nice views of the strip. Yardages are somewhat difficult to find. The course was in good shape although the greens were somewhat slow and bumpy. Several tee boxes had uneven ground. Carts were not allowed on 6 of the holes (not including the four par 3s), but the pace of play remained below four hours. I would recommend this course due to its novelty and good overall course conditions. Definitely a good challenge.

Played this course on 18 Jun for $30 with OB Sports card. Even at this price I can not recommend this course. They are losing the course. All the grass seems to be dying. The fairways are in poor condition and in dire need of water. The bunkers are very inconsistent. Most of them have little sand and are very firm. The rock hard greens are quite bumpy. Maybe the course is overplayed....may try again next year.

Nice course with some challenging terrain. The course is not as nice as the pictures would suggest with many construction areas adjacent to the course. Conditions were okay but not fantastic. Greens were fast but too firm to hold any shots. Tough to even find divots on the greens due to the firmness. Course plays a little tricked up with many bunkers and several forced layups off the tee box. Not wild about the forecaddie. After the first time around, I can't see much advantage for the cost. Much prefer GPS with visuals of the layout of the holes and greens. Pace of play is about 5 hours. Bathroom facilities are scarce on the course. Par 3's are really difficult due to the firmness of the greens (and multiple bunkers). Like any other Vegas course, this one is overpriced. Locals on Sundays can play for $60 (plus $30 caddie gratuity) during the summer months. Overall, a nice course that is fun and challenging to play...recommended, but there are better deals and courses in town.

My favorite course in Las Vegas. Unbelievably good condition every time out. Service is first-rate with friendly staff abound. Pace of play is always fast, especially compared to other local courses. With new summer rates and twilight rates starting at 11 AM, the green fees are the best value in town, especially for locals. The course is tough but fair....a thinking man's course. Can't grab the driver on every hole....must factor in the ever present wind. Best bunker quality in town, which is a good thing since they are plentiful and strategically placed. The big allure is the par 3 #15 island green. Always a thrill! With three wonderful courses at Pauite, it's hard to justify playing anywhere else for pure golf enjoyment.

Nice course overall with excellent greens. Course is a little on the short side with several short par 4s. Bunkers are way too soft--like a sand box. One ball was completely buried on an approach shot from 125 yards. A good test of golf especially with the short irons. Pace of play was acceptable (4 1/2 hrs).
