Rustic is one of my favorite tracks in the area...can't beat the value for the area. The course is super walkable (so walkable I often wonder why anyone would ride there) and can be broadly described as a links course. The signature feature is the large collars on around the greens...don't be afraid to use the putter from way out! The front and back play almost like different courses. The front is much more of a target golf experience with a great mix of long and short holes. There are really only three holes where you are pulling driver on the front. The back opens up through the upper canyon area and is about 400 yards longer than the front...long and wide open describe the back. Overall, this course is an amazing value...perhaps the best value in all of So Cal. Great conditioning, great layout all for about $65 (walking) on during primetime. The main advice I have is make times early on the weekends...it gets super slow (> 5h) if you get off after 9 AM.
