Played Meadows / Vineyards today. I always enjoy this combination (though you can't pay me to play the lakes). Generally it was in nive condition with a few fairways needing work. Greens were very good. The new routing starts mid-September I'm told -- they are closing down nine holes and combining the best holes from the vineyards and the lakes. The new par 3's are taking shape and make the course stronger. Given the reduction in maintenance and trouble spots it should improve the course as well. Definitely looking forward to playing the new the routing.

Played Poppy Ridge on Saturday. This course is always in great condition and is challenging - especially in the wind. My only concern is that there a number of holes that feel like you have played them before during the round.

Played Rancho on Sunday. I always enjoy this layout, it has some fun holes and the par 3s are definitely the real deal from the blues. Just a fun course to play.

Played Darkhorse over the Memorial Day weekend. I love the layout of this course -- a lot of variation in the holes and enough choices to make you think about where you want to be. Course was generally in good shape -- they had vericut and sanded the greens last week bu they still rolled true. Can't wait to play this again,

I love this layout but the greens are in terrible condition. Large bare spots on nearly every green, very bumpy and very slow. I don't think there was one green that was truly playable.

What a waste. The Bridges has lost all its fairways and is still charging premium prices. It is tough enough at the best of times, but you could hit the middle of the fairway and have an unplayable lie. I've seen far better conditions at munis than this.
