This is a great layout and one can see by playing that this is an older course. Lots of elevated greens and great bunkering around them. 1-3 and 13-18 played as part of the Accenture Match Play (along with the back 9 of the South). These are great holes. Some of the holes outside of that range had some bare spots on them and didn't look to be as manicured as the others. Also on those other holes power lines come into play and I could see why they re directed the tour away from those holes. Overall I loved the course. However, it was a little pricey. I played Torrey Pines for a little cheaper.

The course has just undergone a huge redo on 9 of the greens. Tis the season for aeration and overseeding. I played and the greens had just been sanded and were in pretty bad shape. However, the course itself was in great condition and the fairways and bunkers were in great shape. Due to the condition of the greens the course let me play for $37. That was a great deal and didn't complain. I will for sure play this course again if in the San Diego area again. P.S. the customer service was outstanding.

Great course. Had to play when I was in town for vacation. This is a muni and the play was dreadfully slow. Tee'd off at 12:30 and finished around 6:00. The course had just been aerated 2 weeks prior and the greens were growing back in. The rest of the course was recently overseeded as well. It still played fine. The staff was excellent and very helpful. I would for sure return to play this awesome US Open track!
