There are literally clumps of shaggy grass. What happened to this course? Hopefully something will be done to put it back to the condition it used to be in?
Played on 5/26 - Highly recommend a helmet for this course. We almost got hit several times. Course has a very strange layout. Greens are soft and very bumpy, although not to many ball marks. They are punching the greens this week, so it may improve. Staff is friendly. Rough has inconsistent grasses and needs to be repaired. It is a decent height and is not easy to play from.
Course is undergoing some repair
The greens were all grainy
Tee boxes have been sanded to level off
fairway grass height was high
Some bunkers had large rocks, very inconsistent
Fairway has been sanded in some areas to repair and looks like bald spots from the tee
Gave it a 6.61

Played on 4/14. This course was in great condition. Greens were true and fast. Fairways were cut low and lush. You can see most green from the tee box, but the $1 I paid for the yardage card was well spent. Worth the drive from the strip to play. Excellent condition.
4/8 Course is in good shape. They punched the greens on 4/2, so they are still growing in. There were some damp areas, but nothing that change the feel of the round or the course. Pace was a little slow, but at least there was no back up on the tee box and you could keep a rhythm. The course plays pretty short from the whites as they had moved the box up on a couple of the par 3’s leaving about 115 to the hole. Course has no flat lies. Good 2” rough.
Played on Sunday 4/1/07 at 3:00 PM April fools...no I really did play the course. Drove the 10th green. I heard it was possible if you keep it left and it hits the hill right. The greens are sanded and filling back in. Made for an interesting day of putting. I think by this weekend after they roll the greens it will be in good shape. I wish this course was less crowded. I enjoy the layout and the conditions are better than the other local courses like Shore Cliffs and San Clemente.
Course is in excellent shape. Played on 3/9. Greens are perfect. Slow pace.
Played on 3/11 12:00 Pm tee time. Read earlier post and now I know why the course was playing 5 hours. The greens need another week to fill in from aeration. Interesting course layout. $125 is a lot of money for this course if the earlier post is right about the GPS disappearing in new carts.
Tuff winter conditions. I am surprised that the course can get this wet and muddy considering it is in the canyon. Nice layout, but is $$$ and can get backed up later in the day.
