I was hoping to be at Boulder Oaks with everyone at the GK Event but had some other things come up. But fortunately My buddy had a tee time at El Prado that fit into my schedule so I was off!!! First this is the first time I will review a course and just for full disclosure I am not a great golfer (sucks at Golf) so hopefully this will be somewhat helpful. Here we go.. I got to the golf course at 910am for a 930am tee time (That's how I roll!!) and walked right onto the first tee!!! Hell's yeah!! the course was wide open. The one guy they stuck with us we let tee off and go on his own and never saw him again!!! The Tee boxes were in great shape and a little bushy for me but for the most part level and easy to hit from. What little fairways I actually landed in were nice. the grass was in good shape and hardly any bare spots or divots. Where I am the expert is the trees, I hit many trees, so playing from the tress I will say the rough was not too bad. It was not hard to hit out so I kinda got lucky, just had to keep it under the branches!!! I landed in 2 sand traps and I will say this was the worse part of the course!! sand was hard and the were weeds growing in one!!! Really when is there weeds at the Beach?!?! That was my bad, I shouldn't have been in there anyways!! For the front 9 the greens were really slow , a little bumpy at times but overall pretty good. They held my wedge shots in pretty good too which was a big plus for me!!! The back 9 got a lot faster and really screwed with me as I thought I figured these d%mn things out!!! Overall the greens were in good shape. We finished right at 4 hrs which for me is unheard of on the weekend and at 930am!! The Staff was great and friendly. They have a Beer cart which is awesome!!! Can't go thirsty on the golf course. I had a great time and will definitely be back.
