Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Played here 8/14 at the "special group rate" of $130. Others have compared this course to a muni, but I think that does a disservice to most munis. The tee boxes are rounded with many bare spots. Fairways are either bone-dry and patchy/bald, or wet and bald. Greens and bunkers were pretty good. The layout is reminiscent of Sycuan/Singing Hills, and you can play there for under $50. There is no way La Costa is worth anywhere near this fee. Save up a few more dollars and head to Aviara.
