I had heard a lot about this golf course from friends and perhaps my expectations were a bit high (it's also a Faldo design and his name is everywhere). I think the layout was really nice, the holes were scenic and provided a varied level of challenge. 80% of the greens are heavily guarded by bunkers and can make for a frustrating day if you are not hitting the ball well or have issues getting out of the traps as most of the greenside bunkers are deep with fairly steep faces. Overall, I think the course should've been in a little better condition for the money.

What a great course in a great setting! Fantastic staff and the ladies working the beverage carts were outstanding. Everyone was very friendly to our rowdy (but well behaved) group of 8 in attendance.

Played on August 1st and the course was in great shape, no complaints.

Course coming out of overseeding. Greens bumpy, fairways furry and the bunkers were a mess ... footprints from both man and native animals. We had a morning tee time, so I think these were not squared away from the prior day(s) of play. Course is usually in great shape. Service personnel (shop, players services & beverage cart) were all friendly and great.
