Played 4/27/20 Morongo has potential to be world class. Great layout, fun holes, greens are nice and tricky. However management has never been able to make that happen. The usual issues with bunkers not being maintained but at least had more sand in them than they used to. My biggest issue is that after a prolonged shutdown due to covid 19, they couldn't find a way to mow the rough. 6inches plus and thick! Spent a lot of time looking for balls hit a couple of feet off of fairways or greens. Drainage issue on 11th hole has created a pool of stagnant water right in the landing zone on the fairway. It felt like Morongo is trying to get back all lost revenue as quickly as possible, (70 bucks on a Monday). Also it appears that they're not spending money on anything that they don't absolutely have to. All signage on the course seems to be gone, no scorecards, lots of weeds everywhere. etc.

Played on mon 3/9/09. I really enjoy the course its in great shape.But!! 6 hour rounds of golf are not fun!!! come on guys there are too many other very good courses within a 15 min drive. including the hidden gem right next door, Champions club@the Retreat.(for adventurous golfers only who dont have a bad heart)
