We played today 11/30 and the weather was great. We were really looking forward to this outing since we have had good experiences in the past here. The course itself overall is only in what I would call okay condition. Fairways are decent and the rough has been overseeded and grown in for the most part. The bunkers are not in good condition for the most part. Some had standing water, some were just mud and some were gravel. I did see that some did have some sand in them but they were not consistent. The greens were bumpy and on the slow side. They have not been rolled. We watched most of our putts bouncing all the way towards the hole but we never knew what direction the ball was going to take due to the bumps. A real disappointment. The course layout is great, but I will not drive an hour for conditions like that.

I walked on today around 11AM and was sent to 1st tee right away. Our group was a foursome of 2 singles and a twosome. I am a fan of this golf course. I have always thought that the par 3 holes are great as they are varied in length and not easy. And it is a fun but challenging enough course. Unfortunately the course seems to always be backed up and play slow. Today was no exception to that. It was over a 5 hour round with waiting on every shot. I never saw a marshall or a course rep from the pro shop all day long. In the past I have seen them send someone out over the course of my round maybe a couple times in 4 to 5 hours. Greens were in great condition and the fairways were their normal "ok" condition.

Just would like to put in a shout out to Joe Strange in the Pro Shop. He is a stand up guy and listens to his customers. I think this course is lots of fun and plenty challanging for a resort course. I've been playing here for 25 years. We only get out there a couple times a year but it is worth the drive! Since the "Stonehouse" 9 was built this golf course now has a bite that is not to be forgotten. Know your yardages and how far you hit your clubs or you may just wind up in trouble.

Played here on 10/30/12. Had a 9:10AM start time and arrived early. It was not overly busy and the starter put us out ahead of our time. As I had not played here in close to 15 years I did not remember much of the course at all. The greens were rolling nice, nothing overly fast, but being above the hole was costly a couple of times. We had a little bit of trouble finding our tees since we were not sure where they were place, being unfamiliar with the course. At least 3 different times we drove well past them sight unseen as there was no definitive markings on the path as to where they were. Only a couple of fairways were cartpath only and I could see why as the fairways were steep and possibly dangerous. I found the course to be a little more difficult than it probably is just because I was unsure as to where I wanted to hit to not having the course knowledge I needed. The same with the greens, not knowing the undulation, shape or contours made it a little more difficult than it should have been. I would play this course again.

Played here Thursday the 25TH. Starting time was 8:28 and they were about 15 to 20 minutes behind. Once we started the course seemed to move along a reasonable pace.
I can't say how nice the greens were putting. Smooth , true and fast for a public links in So. Cal. I really don't have a complaint about the course, it's in very good condition for the hot summer we have had. I will play there again.

Played here on Aug 2 and I really enjoy this course. Overall it's in good condition. I would love to see them speed the greens up though. For the price it's a good track. Bunkers were wet from irrigation which made them close to unplayable. I will play this track again.

Played here Aug 16TH. Overall conditions are good. Tee boxes are spotty. The greens here are slow. There is no other way to phrase it. They are very soft and just don't break as much as you would think because they are just too slow. I like the track, but it could be a lot nicer if they would speed up the greens.

Played a morning round on June 28TH. Went to driving range to warm up. The driving range is not well maintained, disappointing. This was my first round at this course. I found the holes to be challenging, but mostly fair. I did expect the greens to be a little quicker than they are, but they were not in bad shape. Since this course is so well bunkered, I would expect them to maintain their bunkers well. About 75 percent of the bunkers were soaked and the sand was compacted. They were not raked or fluffed. They could do a much better job for the green fees they are charging.

Always wanted to play here, but a bit of a drive for me. Walked on as single at 7:30AM.
Fortunate to get right out. This course reminded me of Pebble Beach. Of course it's not nearly as manicured, but the views and layout are very nice. Walking is somewhat strenuous, but, it can be managed. Get ready for lots of side hill, down hill, up hill lies and stances. The greens are another experience in themselves. One must play the course at least 3 to 4 times to figure out how the ball will break. There are some very wicked breaking greens that can be hard to read first time out. All in all, this course is an absolute jewel! I loved it!

Pace of play was good. Course is in decent shape but greens are somewhat slow compared to the past. They need to figure out how to keep their sand traps dry, it looks like they are always wet from the sprinkler system.

Overall course condition seemed very good. There are some bare spots in the fairways. The greens seemed to be on the slow side of the scale. The Pace of play was good.
