Golf Course Reviews
Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Sorry, but I found this experience to be severely overhyped.
The greens were pretty much awful for a $200 course. If I was on a muni, I would feel it was decent. Not even good. The greens were grown out and bumpy and SLOW. Unclear why they werent mown or rolled.
The remainder of course conditions were fair to good. Some tee boxes were not that level.
The course is very novel in its vistas and elevated views, but honestly it felt excessive by the 8th hole. The amount of elevation change is nice for 4-6 feature holes but gets old after 18. It certainly felt a bit gimmicky.
The course clubhouse is decent and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The range was tiny. Maybe 200 yards, with maybe 10 hitting areas. It is adjacent to an airport so they dont want you hitting into it. I found this pretty disappointing for a $200 course.
Overall, for peak rack rate ($200), I was very underwhelmed and fairly disappointed.
Would play again for $70 and if green conditions improved... but even then, I think Paiute is a more enjoyable experience for golf.
