Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!played 2-13 and course was in such good shape played 2-21. if youve played this course a few times you know there are times during the year when this course is great and other times burned out. fairways great to hit off, rough patchy in places. greens very firm, ball wont stick, but the greens and sand were very good shape. right now, for this course, it is in great shape. play it now. had coupon from paper for $27.50/week $37.50 weekend. absolutely great deal. a great shotmakers course. i will be playing once more next weekend. always liked the layout. have to play it while its in this shape.
played on 1-29-2009.....course in good/great shape.....greens best theyve been in last 6 months.....lots of deals to play here....staff always great... fairways thin and hard on some holes....sand good...rough good.....tee boxes ok....try "old chub" beer at break, whew!!!! play before the gnats come out on the back 9.
played as jc member....fairwys huge....rough best ive played in......greens well protected.... greens tough, pin placement challenging.... easy to get on in regulation, putting another story. loved this course. scenic-city. catalina, san bernadino mtns, ocean views abound. service great, pace great. thoroughly enjoyed this course.... would play again if get discounted....otherwise, pretty steep$$$ even for weekday.
just got done playing.....staff rude.....course very average in shape....layout ok....greens ok....dont see why so many people are playing this? probably like me....had to see....and ive seen enough....cost????....not worth it....its a 50-60 dollar course....but they get away with it cause its in carlsbad....wont be back....would rather play arrowwood or twin oaks...
what can i say......i love the layout.....gave it a shot to see what shape its in.....fair is all i can say for now....will give it a try one more time in a month or so. greens hard as a rock at times, fairways lean in many places. tee boxes ok to fair. sand actually good. some day someone will figure out how to maintain this course. it should be like a singing hills, which is usually in good to great shape. hope it comes back, cause when its in good shape......this is a fun place to play...heres hoping.....
played here 5-10. remembered as summer went on course burned out abit, so wanted to play because i like the layout. greens firm, have to hit pretty high shots to get them to bite. all in all, course still in decent shape. will play again in the next month. price is worth it for now.
got a coupon to play here for $50 on saturday.....(1:30) tee time. starter said nothing about aeroating 1/2 of all the greens. never played before, but the fact that i had to check the course out on line and saw aeroating alert......well, just weak on their part not to mention this when i booked the tee times.....very weak.....should be a coutesy thing to let someone know.
thumbs up to greenskeeper.....thumbs down to arrowwood.

played 8-11=07. love the layout, tight fairways at times. but basically wide open. long iron hitters can take adv of some par 4's. greens fair. fairways fine, rough short. good price. greenskeeper did great job here. greens were terrible 6 months ago. lots better now. pace was fast. had great time. will be back.
course in good shape. greens were smooth, and true. tee boxes very decent. sand was averege. layout is nice, lots of dogs. long iron hitters can score well. variety of expansive to tight fairways. only complaint was gully area with ground under repair along a stretch of holes. over all, greens bite, course fun to play. staff good. pace was 4.5 hours.
played with a buddy of mine.....drove up from san diego. greens tough and fast. definately different type of approach and green game you have to play from san diego greens. loved the layout, price, and weather..... well its palm springs, if you start around noon, then you asked for it. fairway bunkers around 210-240 yards. big hitters course.
staff was ok.....just ok.....
played north one day, then north and south the next. both challenging. would definately play again.
